H5X SUV officially announced named Tata Harrier

'Tata Harrier'  has formally announced by Tata Motors  - the highly anticipated production-spec H5X SUV has been named.

If you are following the development closely, you will know that H5X was internally known as 'Harrier', after sticking to the car manufacturer's pattern to codify his model after the birds Were. This time, however, Tata Motors has moved one step further and Harrier has been finalized as the name of H5X market.

]] Interestingly, the five-seat version of the Harrier SUV will be named. A seven-seat version that will come later, will get a different name. Eating walnuts may lower depression risk: Study

Researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the US found that depression scores were 26 per cent lower for walnut consumers and eight per cent lower for consumers of other nuts, compared to those who did not eat nuts at all. 5 Future Technology Car we can expect

Just like how phones have evolved into smartphones, perhaps cars should also take a similar route and evolve into ‘smart’ cars equipped with futuristic and (more importantly) practical features. In fact, some car manufacturers have already implemented a few of these things that we’re about to mention, but it’ll be nice to see them become standard features in all cars of the future. Here's a look at some of the cool innovations we're likely to see in the next generation of cars.  

1. Gesture Control:-

Building on the familiar existing technology of knob and voice controls, Audi, in 2011, introduced a new feature that would provide unprecendented ease in controlling a car’s functions. The new feature is called MMI touch, and is actually an enhancement for their already exisiting Audi Multi Media Interface (MMI) system.

]] The best thing about MMI touch is that it enables drivers to input characters just by using a finger to "write" on the designated touchpad. This has a wide range of applications such as keying in addresses for navigation purposes, entering phone numbers or simply selecting songs to play. MMI touch also has support for a range of languages besides English.  

2. Augmented Reality Display:-

By using an app called HUDWAY, you can place your iPhone on the dashboard of your car and navigation information (from your iPhone) will be reflected and displayed on your windscreen. It looks very cool but obviously doesn’t work under certain conditions, e.g. when the surrounding is too bright for the information to be clearly visibile on your windscreen.

3. Apps & Firmware Updates:-

Toyota has already introduced a concept car called Fun Vii Concept Car that can do all of the above and more. "Vii" is an acronym for Vehicle, Interactive, Internet – this concept car basically allows the driver to be constantly connected with everyone including your friends and even other automobiles. What’s more, its exterior design can even be customized as shown in this short promotional clip. While it will probably take some time before cars like Fun Vii get to production, cars with the ability to have firmware updates have already been made available on the market.

]] These firmware updates could improve certain features of the car including the radio, tire pressure, Wi-Fi connectivity, and charging capacity. Tesla Model S, a 100% electric car, is one car that has such firmware updates.  

4. Communication Between Vehicles:-

Communication between vehicles doesn’t mean you can call up the car in front of you and ask it to move out of your way. It’s more like machines communicating with each other so that there’ll be smoother traffic and less congested roads.

]] This technology will also increase road safety by reducing collisions between cars. For example, your car can warn you about a car that’s coming from your blind spot. If implemented correctly, this technology will significantly increase road safety, efficiency, and driving experience.  

5. Smart Fuel Saving Tips:-

Another cool feature to have in a ‘smart’ car is to have it give you fuel efficiency tips or notifications while you’re driving. For example, it can notify you about a nearby gas station that has cheap gas prices; so even if you still have half a tank of fuel left, it’ll suggest that you refill now to avoid paying more at another gas station when you eventually run out of fuel.

  After decades of auto technology that had evolved only marginally since the mid-20th century, experts say we’re now seeing a super-fast shift that's comparable to the industry's early days. “In the last 30 to 40 years the way cars were manufactured didn’t change much,” says Ozgur Tohumcu, CEO of the car-tech company Tantalum. “But now things are fundamentally changing — and very quickly.”

The Punky Porsche SUV

Stroll into a Porsche dealership in the coming months and you’ll find that the speediest version of their largest vehicle—the Cayenne—is now a hybrid. Get behind the wheel for nine hours on the sweeping back roads of central Oregon, as I did, and you’ll discover just how far we’ve come from the idea that hybrid means “wheezy and underpowered yet thrifty.” The Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid is none of those things. It’s a well-mannered monster that uses a 100-kilowatt motor to boost its four-liter V8 engine, providing 670 horses—that’s more power than the Lambo Urus. Mash the pedal and the speed and smoothness are more akin to a bullet train than a family hauler. The idea behind this dual-drive system came from Porsche’s 918 Spyder hybrid supercar. ]] Its complex chassis-control systems are similar, too: At higher speeds, the rear axle steers up to three degrees in the same direction as the front tires, for more stable turning. Above 131 miles per hour, its air suspension automatically dips to reduce drag. For max green cred, you can switch to E Power mode and drive emission-free—up to 83 miles per hour for short stretches. The complex powertrain of the Turbo S E-Hybrid may not be for everyone, however—unless you’re really late to your kids’ soccer games. The cushioned gaskets felt soft and still snug against my face and stayed leak-free for my entire workout. Even better, after 30-plus minutes of swimming, I exited the water without those awful-yet-all-too-common marks ringing my eyes. The straps are another big perk: With their thick, velvety texture and curved back clip (versus a traditional flat clip), they stayed firmly in place for the duration of my swim without squeezing my skull. I also dug the lens shape—though I have no idea if the drag-resistant design actually made me faster, being able to see more of the pool without turning my head was a sweet sensation.

Nitpick:

During certain portions of my test swim, I noticed that the curved lens somewhat distorted my vision. The distortion wasn’t very significant or bothersome, though, and seemed to disappear after a few seconds (or perhaps I just got used to it). In fact, I’m not sure I would have picked up on this in the first place if one of the other testers hadn’t mentioned it.

Bottom Line:

These goggles are designed for performance, but in my experience, their biggest plus is comfort—and that’s something swimmers of all levels can enjoy. “My goal for anyone using a goggle is that they really can forget that it’s there,” Gentry says. Crust 2 cups pecans 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar 3⁄4 cup all-purpose flour 3⁄4 cup melted butter 2 egg yolks 2 pinches kosher salt Butter, for greasing ]] Directions: Heat oven to 325°F. Grind pecans in food processor into a coarse meal. Add remaining ingredients and pulse until evenly combined to make the crust. Lightly grease a 10-inch springform pan with butter. Press crust into the pan, packing it down with the end of a rolling pin to make it as flat and even as possible. Bake crust for 20 minutes until golden brown and cool completely. Wrap outside of the pan in plastic. Filling 20 oz cream cheese 12 oz Gorgonzola 15 oz ricotta 11 oz mascarpone 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar 1⁄4 tsp cornstarch 3 eggs plus 2 yolks 2 pinches kosher salt Directions: Raise oven to 350°F. Combine all ingredients in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment. Whip on medium-high speed for 6 minutes, scraping down sides of bowl as needed to make sure everything is well-mixed. Spread filling over the pecan crust, filling pan about 3⁄4 of the way (there may be some left over). Smooth the surface.
