Coffee in bed. NYT crosswords. Runs along the Hudson River. Quiet nights in. Hope and Maria always try to get their rare days off together. They save the world but they save each other.
Here’s what I think they would listen to.
(Had to make a playlist after reading and getting obliterated by the legendary Quantum Entanglement fic.)

Hope and Maria had known each other for a long time, their paths having crossed many times over the years. Hope didn’t trust SHIELD, not after what they’d put her father through, but she did trust Hill. She was smart, beautiful and understood the pressures of being a woman in a man’s world. Their friendship grew strong as they shared information and technology, saved the world together multiple times, and it wasn’t long before this bad ass pair of women became physically involved.
After Civil War, Maria was technically supposed to capture Hope but couldn’t bring herself to arrest her. They met secretly under SHIELD’s radar, gravitating towards each other even more as the world became crazier and turned to shit before their eyes. What was just sex turned into love as they came to rely on the advice and comfort of the other, unable to imagine life without the other.
In these private moments, away from the madness, they could just be themselves. They could stop carrying the weight of the world and didn’t have to be strong. Alone, they could be vulnerable and soft and make pretend at a real life where nothing mattered except for their love for one another. It never lasted long - the world always needed saving - but for a few moments, it was just them and they could be happy.
