My dream is to live in a big city where everyone smiles at me and knows my name. And every restaurant knows my order before I decide on what to eat. The only food they serve is my favorite food, after all. My son would go to school and he would be treated like a king. They would bow down to him, forking over their lunch money and various personal belongings as he walked by. And my wife would be Carmen freakin Electra.

Been working on developing themes a bit more, adding chords!!! I really love the second half, I gotta start learning how to master though because some things sound off here and there, but I'm still proud of this one! FL Studio and LABS glass piano gives that really watery dense and heavy piano feeling that I think encapsulates the city of Dev Plata's atmosphere, so I really like using it when thinking about my characters who's lives are shaped by the city. Electronic Antique was what I used for that fuzzy synth sound, I'd like to learn how to automate pitch bends for it and some synth specific settings so I can use it to its fullest when I get my hands on a midi keyboard again.
Never Made Nice is the name of the chapter that I was writing when I was thinking about making this song. It focuses on Meli and Panil young siblings who have grown at odds due to arguments surrounding Meli's desire to work younger than she should, until something major happens that changes her life. This song is kinda like the last moment they share together before they can't see each other in the same way again.

Recently got into FL Studio trying to make music that feels like the first major location within my story that I call Lisid Fell. It is pretty short and barren only about 8 bars, but I'm still learning :D
Dev Plata is a deindustrializing mining and manufacturing city in the far north of Kapiline. The story initially focuses on a family within the city as they grow up amidst a series of tragedies. Meli, the families oldest daughter, watches how her family shifts after her mother disappears and her father becomes unable to preach due to inner conflicts within the city. Meli stares at the curin, her father's place of worship, and sees an orpiment paint spread across its walls.
I wanted this song to be longer but I didn't really know how to fill it in, but I also wanted the instrumentation to be a bit moodier to fit the cold atmosphere, but with some hope in the instrumentals because of what the city once represented. Kinda like a ghost track for a city.
