Its actually really surreal to be writing this post right now, after three and half years it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Jules and I have made the decision to close Hollow Grove. We have been so blessed to have such an amazing group of writers come and go from this group, who have taken this concept and grown it into what you see today. I honestly can’t put into words how much this group and all its members mean to me and how difficult this decision was for us to make, but like they say, all good things must come to an end. Thank you so much to everyone who has been apart of this group and seen it through so many different life cycles and phases. You all have really made this group what it is and we would never have come this far without you.

Background:

Sophia, original werewolf and momma bear to many has a tendency to take in orphaned children of wolves or untriggered wolves who perished. She takes them in and raises them as her own. It’s something that she has been doing for the better part of the last 500 years. Loving and very tentative she loves these children with everything she has and some day they go out into the world. Your character would have lost their parent at some point in their lives (they could have been a baby or early adolescents) and came to live with Sophia and the Greyson pack. The background is really pretty open and I would absolutely love to discuss any ideas you might have and talk through head canons of your characters childhood with the Greyson family.

A couple ideas:  -Parents could have been killed during the supernatural war and so they’ve been living in Hollow Grove with Sophia ever since.  -Single Momma who was friends with Sophia and she passed away young and Sophia stepped in to raise the baby.

Finally recently, during the blood moon, your character was kidnapped by the Clave and the Greysons have been trying to get them back ever since. At the end of September Sophia joined her sister Daralis and they got your character back from the clave and brought them back to Hollow Grove. What they went through in the several months they were held captive is up to you. They could have been a wolf who was turned into a vampire during that time or other terrible things could have happened and now they are back trying to deal with the after math of that.

❝  a pavement of the past

It was during a bitter winter storm that Tessa was left on the steps of Haddon house, a group home for children. No more then just a few hours old, it was a shock that anyone would leave such a young infant on a stoop during a blizzard, and as months went on many in the group home couldn’t believe that such a beautiful child had been abandon in such a way. That was until it became clear that the she was less then human. When she was around five years old, the first of her powers began to manifest. After being told that she wasn’t allowed a cookie lest it spoil her dinner Tessa simply wished for a treat and it floated over to her. This of course alerted the staff in the home to her abilities. For this, Tessa was treated differently then every other child in the group home. Every time the little girl attempted to interact with the other children, they would run away screaming, afraid of her very touch. So, the the young child learned at a young age that the only person she could rely on was herself.

From that day on, Tessa was forced to repress her powers, making her sick and ill near constantly. But despite her ostracization from most in the home, she was able to make one friend. Arriving at the home when Tess was 13, a boy named Noah looked at her as more of a superhero rather then the monster she was told she was. Noah encouraged her to use her powers and harness them for good, and after about three years, not only did her powers grow but so did her feelings for her best friend. Still, it took a whole additional year for the girl to muster up the nerve to do anything about her feelings for Noah. Luckily for her, he felt the same way. For the first time in years things were beginning to look up. She’d not only found a friend, but love, and in just a few months the two of them would turn eighteen and be free to leave the group home for good.

After moving out of the group home and into their own apartment it was only a matter of time before the two teens decided to take their relationship to a physical level, and Tessa thought nothing of it. She loved Noah, and he was certainly the only person who loved her. But in the middle of being intimate, something terrible happened. Noah began convulsing, blood seeping from his nose and ears. Panicking, Tess tearfully called for help it was just too little too late. Noah died later that night from a hemorrhaging in the brain. Though his death was a bit of a mystery to doctors, Tessa knew exactly what had happened. Now, taking refuge in Hollow Grove, the eighteen year old has begun to suppress her powers, fearing what they could do to anyone else who gets close to her.

Commonly referred to as Timid Tessie by adults at the group home, Tessa is in fact what they say. Timid. Although shy, the teenager would very much like a friend, as she craves love even if it’s platonic. Still, the girl finds it hard to reach out due to her “affliction”. Most times, she’s found in a secluded corner with a coloring book in her lap, filling the pages with bright colors and meticulously placed patters. Her artistic abilities don’t stop merely at coloring, but also extend to singing and other musical abilities, making her wonder if it was something she was born with or something she developed in order for her to cope with her solitary upbringing.

Hannah Toil grew up around the darkest of magic. The kind of magic that knew no bounds or limits. The one that had no regard for consequences. Spells and incantations were used in her household to find love, exact revenge and acquire wealth. Hannah, however, being the cautious soul she was born to be, had always been wary of the karma that would hit tenfold. Because what goes around always comes back around.

It was a known fact. She was predestined to inherit either or both of her parents powers. Reanimation from her mother’s side which she discovered at a pretty young age, bringing the family cat back to life after she died of liver failure. And what was supposed to be Teleportation from her father’s side. But as she grew older there was no sign of the nifty little power she’d hoped to inherit from her father.

On her 13th birthday Hannah fell ill with a terrible fever, breaking out in sweats, her body wracking with chills as hives formed on every visible surface of her skin. She was so hot she melted the ice bath that was run for her the moment she sat in it and then, without any warning, the top of her head erupted in flames. The birth of her second power. Except not one person in either of her parents’ lineage had been fire starters.

Her new power was uncharted territory. With no one to guide her Hannah set any and everything ablaze, including their home. And it was quickly deemed a curse rather than a blessing. The fires Hannah conjured was quite similar to what her parents perceived to be hellfire- scorching things that were supposedly scorch- proof. The ultimate karma in response to their excessive use of dark magic.

It took Hannah some odd years to settle into her power and even now, in her adult years, it controls her more than she controls it. Because of this she tries to maintain a state of emotional equilibrium at all times.

Besides her powers, Hannah strives to lead a normal-ish life. Leaving the dabbling in magic to her parents, she puts her trust in medical science and healing others. Though, on the odd occasion, she finds herself utilizing her first inherent power when medicine fails.

Even with her hands filled with being a surgical intern she is looking into enrolling part-time into Blackwood Magic School to further her knowledge and control of her second power.

❝  the nature of the beast

Hannah is overly cautious to the point she can be referred to as a stick in the mud. Doing any and everything by the book. Though her parents live a life of luxury she lives more modestly, especially after moving out of her parents house and into an apartment with a roommate.

Though innately good she worries that there may be a darker, shadow side to her that is connected to her second power. Because of this she tries her best to refrain from negative emotions, namely anger, and anything remotely related to dark or black magic.

You can find Dash’s bio here.  The Hastings are a long standing werewolf family in the town of Hollow Grove. They are descendants of Alpha Original werewolf Nate Greyson. A family with six children, family was always the most important thing and being a werewolf was almost just as important and a part of the very culture the Hasting children were raised in. Oliver is the second oldest, and is your typical younger brother. Dash was the responsible weight of the word older brother and Oliver was a wild one from the very day he was born. Oliver was always the one getting into trouble and breaking any rule that he could just to have a good time. Despite his rebelious nature one thing has always been important to him above all else, family. What Oliver did after high school is completely up to you, however, he made it a point to always come around for the traditional Sunday dinner (most of the time at least).

April 2012, Dash and Oliver showed up to Sunday dinner with the family to find their family brutally murdered, the bodies were so mangled it was impossible to id anyone. This left the two young men the soul survivors of their family. After their families deathes the two because inseperable. While they had an extreme rivalrly growing up, with nothing standing in their way Dash and Oliver survived together.  I imagine the Hastings to be very close, they of course have their issues but they love each other and will do anything for each other. I think Oliver is probably still very much a free spirit but he’s trying to do better. After their families death, Dash broke things off with his fiance and Oliver ended up moving in with him. Oliver was intigral in helping Dash get through triggering his curse and finding out about his two little girls, Darcy and Val. Unlce Ollie is practically a superhero in their eyes.

June 2017 their sister Callie, who they believed to be killed during the massacre that took their families life, returned with the revelation that she’s was a vampire. Oliver has been right there along side his siblings working through the new revelations as they come.

September 2017 their surviving family from Summerdale (a safe haven that was bombed, they had  cousins on their dads side there) threecousins, Chase, Tessa, and Levi (npc) came to live with them. Oliver, Callie, Chase, Penny, Levi, and Dash’s two little girls all living in Dash’s home. Thank goodness he just finished the renovation to the house this summer to give them all a little more room.

Oliver has always been the wild one, the free spirit, the do as you may type. From the very day he was born he played by no ones rules and at times he can be a bit of a mess. He loves to have a good time and sometimes getting it together is just really fricken hard. He’s loyal and he loves his family. Beyond that its pretty open for you to shape.

Reginald and Susan Hastings had three beautiful sons, Andrew (Dash’s father), Grant (your characters father), and Logan (currently character in the rp). Expectation weighed heavily on the three sons of such a prominate werewolf like Reginald. The three young man found themselves starting their lives in the peak of conflict during the supernatural wars and when things settled Andrew and Grant chose to settle down with theif family in Hollow Grove. A few years in when Summerdale was founded as a haven, Grant agreed to move his family there just after Penny was born.

Penny was the youngest of three children for a very long time. Her oldest sister Anna was the pinacle of responbility, she took the family name very serious and carried the family obligation with grace and dignity that Penny always admired. Then there was Chase, who kind of always just followed his passion and his passion took him to music. It was much later in life that Penny found herself no longer the baby in the family when little Levi came along. Over all the Hastings were a happy family, Grant was the mayor and their mother Serena was a teacher. Naturally Anna stayed in Summerdale and got married shortly after college and settled down to have some children. Chase and Penny on the other hand were both curious to see what the world had to offer.

Penny left for college and found that the world outside of her little safe haven was so much more then she thought. College opened up the world to Tess and after her first year she knew she wanted to see more. She set her sights on studying abroad, seeing the world through different cultures and art. I’m open to ideas on what she was doing during her time there, she could be in to books or cooking or history or writing. The details are really open to you but I do see her as someone who loves to travel and she was out of the country when Summerdale was bombed last year, resulting in the loss of her parents, her older sister Anna and her nieces and nephews.

Thankfully for Tess, she wasn’t left alone. Chase had been Nashville at the time and Levi was away at sleepaway camp. When Chase had called her with the news she came straight back to the states and the two went to retrieve Levi, now the 11 year olds legal gaurdian.

Info on NPC Levi: Levi is crazy smart, as in certified genius but socially awkward.

Established connections in the game include cousins Dash, Connor, and Callie. Their Uncle Logan and the Greyson’s of which they are descendants of.

For Chase music was his passion and after a year of college he knew he wasn’t in the right place for him and chose to drop out to chase his dreams to Nashville or LA. I’m open to what he was passionate about, maybe he’s a musician or singer or songwriter or maybe even a producer but I see him being very passionate about music. Details of his life are completely open to you. He was in Nashville when the news broke about the bombing of his home, Summerdale. He’d later confirm that he’d lost his parents and his older sister Anna in the bombing but knew Levi had been at camp at the time.

Moving his family to Hollow Grove seemed like the right fit so after Penny had come back and they’d retrieved Levi, he was now the 11 year olds legal gaurdian. So he and Penny made the decision that now more than ever Family was going to be what held them together. Leaving his life in Nashville behind, he, Penny, and Levi moved to Hollow Grove in September of 2017 where they have been living in tight corders with their cousin Dash.

Everything else is open to the player, what they’ve been doing in Hollow Grove.

Charlie Hunnam also looks a lot like Nathaniel Greyson. In summary, the Hastings are a long line of prestigues werewolves, originating from the original Alpha himself, Nathaniel Greyson. Wyatt is the youngest of three sons, born to Reginald and Susan Hastings. Expectation weighed heavily on the three sons of such a prominate werewolf like Reginald. For Wyatt, with two older brothers it was pretty easy to go unnoticed and he fully embraced his blacksheep life style refusing to ever settle down like his brothers. While he loved both his brothers, their wives, and of course the nieces and nephews that soon followed for Wyatt his life was lived out in the world, he’d visit often, usually with gifts from exotic locations. While he never had any children of his own he was extremely fond of his nieces and nephews, mostly because he could relate to them a little bit mor than his own brothers. It was always fun for Wyatt to blow in to town and spoil the kids and leave before responsiblity caught up to him.

Like in his earlier days, trouble always had a way of finding the youngest Hastings son. Sometimes it was jails in foreign countries, other times it was running from this person or that person because of something he’d said or done. His life was certainly anything but dull.

I do picture that no matter where he went in life he saw his family at least once a year in both Hollow Grove and Summerdale. He was present when his eldest brother Andy and his family were brutally murdered and when his other brother lost his life during the Sumerdale bombing. I picture him being very loyal to his family in that way while still being a free spirit.

I see him having a very exciting life, I’m pretty open to details as far as the characters life and past goes. He would be coming to town now because he got into some trouble, maybe he got mixed up with the clave or someone else for that matter. Honestly its really open, there are currently five Hasting’s children in the game which means this connection would instantly have five connections upon joining and I think it could be really fun. Andy and Fiona were two wild wolves from strong werewolf lineage who settled down in HG after the war having six children. Andy was the local sheriff and Fiona made jewelry for a living. Being a werewolf was hugely important and a part of the very culture their children were raised in. Callie was the oldest daughter and third born child. Life for the Hastings was charmed. Then in April 2012 Dash and Oliver showed up to their weekly Sunday dinner with their family to find them all brutally murdered. The carnage had been so great that he’d always believed their younger sister’s body had never been recovered because it had simply been dismembered to a point they couldn’t identify her. The reality is though that his younger sister was actually turned that day.

With no actual memory of what happened that day she was lead to believe by the vampire that had turned her that she had been the one to kill her family. After being manipulated she left her home behind unable to face her brothers, she let them believe her to be dead. She was consumed by the guilt of what she’d done and the blood lust that consumed her and for five years she gave herself over to that, it wasn’t until she uncovered the truth and learned that she hadn’t been the one to kill her family that Callie had a change of heart. She knew for sure that she couldn’t stay with the monster that had turned her and made her believe she’d murdered her own family. On top of that Callie learned that they were  members of the Clave. That they’d murdered the Hasting family as a means to destroy Hollow Grove. This created a longing to go home despite the fear of how her brothers would take her returning as what she was. A vampire. The one thing they’d always been taught to be leery of, the one thing that had killed the rest of their family.

Despite those fears she returned to Hollow Grove in June of 2017 to find that her families world had changed greatly and finding a way to settle in was difficult. Moving in with her brothers she found a new life amongst her family as she tried to navigate the waters of what she was and who she wanted to be. Callie still struggles with what she is and her past. The traumatic flashbacks of the life she led and the terrible awful things that she was put through during that time still haunt her and the idea that the people who killed her family and turned her could return to Hollow Grove to hurt her family still linder over her. Callie is determined to move forward and create a new life for herself.

With the current trails for the clave Callie is being forced to relive some of her trauma as she is coming face to face with the vampire who took advantage of her fragile state.

UTP. I pictured that she was a really sweet young woman before she died and when she was turned it changed her. The vampire that turned her lead her to believe that she had been the one to kill her family and that guilt destroyed her and has changed her over the last five years. She’d be readjusting to life in back in Hollow Grove with her brothers.
