Is Nightfall a alternative universe? I'm asking because characters like the guardians are still alive, and it doesn't seem that the alpha even exists outside of them being the guardians.

But to be fair I haven't completed reading it.

Nightfall is a hypothetical continuation of Homestuck, similar to Homestuck: Beyond Canon. Except, Nightfall was in development before Act 6 of Homestuck had even begun. Therefore, the Alpha Kids are not introduced until later in Nightfall, because at the time we simply didn't know about them! That being said, we do plan to make some adjustments to Homestuck canon in order to retrofit Nightfall's plot in a sensible way, and what exactly we changed will be revealed in future updates.

Remember Nightfall? I made a Homestuck Fancomic back in the day and eventually left the project unfinished. Well if you haven't noticed, it's back! And hopefully, back with a startling jump in quality. It's been a long time since we touched Nightfall, and we've learned a lot about storytelling since then, and we hope that is reflected in both the art of writing.

The intent is to take what we've learned, and finish Nightfall, better than we could have ever finished it back in the day.

So I made a Homestuck fancomic back in the day called Nightfall, yeah? It was about Vriska and John and aliens shenanigans.

It looked like this:

Progress on the spiritual successor to Nightfall is full steam ahead… I’ve taken the general framework of the Homestuck version of Nightfall and turned it into something original, and hopefully, much better. There is so much I have done that I can’t share yet, hundreds of panels already done, hundreds of pages of notes, 6+ minutes of animation in the works. I’m so excited about this project you wouldn’t even believe.

I’m gonna have something ready to show you guys very soon!
