Hey! This is after a year! Got so much better! I did have alittle scare on regards of a keloid, but later on finding out that I have a hypertrophic scar, which is easy to maintain with Tea tree oil. It does get irritated and sore when I wear baseball hats! Please do your research before getting this piercing, that was my biggest mistake, I'm very glad that I never took it out though, and I'm glad it worked out for me in the end! If you have any questions that may be answered feel free to ask:) but overall I'm so happy about this piercing, I'm probably gonna wait another year before changing the actual jewellery just to play it safe:) I also have an nose piercing and a belly button piercing if you have any questions about those as well:) Have the greatest holidays 😊

Dettol wash instructions~ 1. Start with an empty little bowl! 2. Get some Dettol;) 3. Fill the bowl to about 1/4 of the way with Dettol. 4. Add hot water to the top, it will become a milk consistency and have a milky look to it as well:) 5. Mix with a qtip and apply gently to the irritated areas, DONT OVER DO IT, DRY SKIN WILL OCCUR!

1 Month update~ I've stopped doing the Dettol for a little bit but decide to start again for one week its been the end of the one week, and it's extremely dry, that why I'm taking time off again with the dettol!! Other than that it's actually been doing very well:)

Day 7! It's been two days since I've been doing the dettol soak! And it's honestly doing so much better!! Still sore to the touch and crusting, but it's a lot less red and not that swollen ;) it's doing better :p

Update A little bit after the dettol, it's been throbbing, might take day off work tomorrow to go to the doctors. I'm convinced that it is infected.

It’s in ALOT of pain. It hurts to move the side of my face and my glands have began to swell on the side as well. I’ve decided to use dettol.

Day five Left: the piercing this morning! The nasty discharge was there once again in the hole closest to my face! I woke up did the salt water soak, compared to yesterday morning it is a lot more red! Right: the piercing after a cleaning with Spectro in the shower. It’s still very swelled up and there is a hot burning feeling around the piercing, I’m scared that it is infection and I’m just gonna keep up with the cleaning, which I’m thinking of doing one more soak and swab cleaning before I go to bed! I’ve been trying to pin my hair around the piercing up with bobby pins so the oil of my hair is not near my piercing! I really want to use ice, but I’ve heard that you cannot. I’m continuing to keep a very good eye on the piercing! Any advice would be fantastic!

Left: was taken in the morning before work when I woke up, it was throbbing and I extremely sore! Inspecting the picture more and more I’ve noticed some crusted discharge around the piercing near my face. It felt very pressured and red and swollen! I cleaned it as usual and went to work! I took an ibuprofen for the pain. Right: after work!! Throughout the day I felt discomfort and pressure amongst the piercing holes, especially the one near my face! I am experiencing discharge and puss. Which scares me! Still sore and very very red and swollen! I took another ibuprofen and I did a salt water soak with hot water mixed with one drop of tea tree and sea salt! I also had a shower and cleansed it with soap! I would like feed back on if I should go back to my piercer or the doctors, I’m trying to convince myself that it’s just the healing process of the stubborn piercing! 😂😂 at the moment I have my hair away from the piercing and swept at the other side of my head, and I am not wearing my glasses! I’d appreciate some advice!:)

Day three

I woke up a little sore, thinking that maybe I slept on it a bit, it started becoming very swollen and red, I did the regular cleaning, through out the day I started to experience some throbbing and discomfort amount the hole closest to my face, which I think it’s irritated because of the friction against my glasses.

I woke up, did the cleaning, it was still red and pretty sore, which is normal! That day wasn’t to bad with the piercing, was very careful with it, had a shower and cleaned it.

Day one

I got the industrial on Wednesday, September 2 2015, didn’t hurt that much at first, just a little pinch. I got it done at Perfect Image for a total of $60, including a aftercare kit. The kit included: •Salt water cotton swabs •Soap, I forgot the brand! •and information. He told me to clean it twice a day using the swabs for about a week, then cutting down to once a day! And to clean using the soap in the shower after clean everything else! Now day one I made a mistake by swimming… So I think I’m paying for my mistake! 😂 it felt abut bruised, and there was redness, a little tender! I did not sleep on my right side at all that night!
