Folks, let me tell you, today was weird but good. I think I’m finally an adult! I got up at 5 AM, was at work before 7 AM, made copies, organized my classes, utilized my time wisely, taught, set up for tomorrow, took care of my prescriptions/health insurance, listened to two whole episodes of a podcast on my commute home...

And I can no longer walk without wincing in agony. 

I have ordered a celebratory dinner in, am itching to write, am eager for this week’s payday, and am even more eager to go to bed. 

Amazing what not having a functioning phone will do to a person. 

Anywho, I’m around on Discord an the tumbl-o-sphere a little tonight. I’m itching to write Rudyard and eager to finish setting up my MuMu. Please IM me! I’d love to have some human interaction that isn’t about work, bills, or more work!

Hey, y’all! I hope you had a restful, or at least enjoyable, holiday season/last few weeks!

A lot has been happening these last few weeks on my end of the internet. The holidays with family. I bought my sister a puppy. I’ve been preparing for the school year. I went on a date. I got a haircut. I’m low-key tweaking my old MuMu to make it a more welcoming place to my OCs and canon-divergent muses.

Also, my phone is on the fritz.

Please note that I will be returning to my full time teaching job tomorrow (1/6/2020) and additionally will not be mobile because my phone is dying an agonizing death and I don’t know when the replacement will arrive. I’m trying to save battery where I can. I may log into discord during my lunch break or I may try to figure out how to discreetly listen to podcasts about weird little towns and villages. Who knows? 

The best times to reach me are weeknights 5:30-10 PM or weekends. I’m gonna try to get things running around here again.

EAGLE:   independent.  caring too much for others. sharp looks. walking through the city late at night. the tallest and most spectacular building. iron.   being single and okay in a world that tells you that being single is bad.

SWIFT:  falling in love easily and heavily.  traveler.  the infinity of the bluest sky.  storms. broken smiles. forgetting people who used to be your loved ones. feeling out of place. mistrusting people.  a fleeting romance.

CROW: feeling as if you have seen so much and as if you know a lot. pre- judging. tight hugs that leave you breathless.  a grey sky. serenity.   intelligence.  being left behind.  chains.  smoke.  the pride of someone wise.

DOVE:   petals.  jealousy.  being tired of living with the same old faces. whispered secrets. marble. sundresses.  white clothes. the first sunset of winter. pride in who you are.  learning to get over someone.

SEAGULL:   family. golden light.  the sea murmuring in your ear.  summer afternoons. caramel ice cream.  collecting seashells and other things and calling them treasures. living breezy and carefree.  swimming in sunlight.

CANARY:   artistic.  getting excited easily.  dancing and singing while you are alone.  looking at your friends having fun. no phone.  being afraid of judgement.  spring.  a meaningful gift. the first ray of sunlight.
