YCH Commission from @pembrokewkorgi of Maid Julienne, a Pegasus with OCD, and an unending need to keep things clean. Her true talent lies with cooking, which is why her cutie mark is a kitchen knife. She’s very nervous and resorts to odd compulsive behaviors when out of uniform. In uniform, she tends to be a bit more confident and composed. Also, as is obvious from this photo, she’s super adorable. Thanks again Pembroke!

Thanks, Jez! :3

This is my submission for MLP-ATG-Alumni’s Week 319 Theme, A Pony Gardening / A Pony Plant.
Operating a greenhouse certainly qualifies as gardening, and Amber Fern certainly knows her way around a greenhouse.

Poor kid. I want to give her a hug so hard ;_;
I requested a Cockatrice who has to wear a blindfold as a Resident of the OTSHA facility and Clover is more adorable than I’d hoped. Thank you so much, @sockypockymod

OTSHA Resident: Clover the Cockatrice
We found this one hiding in the dark alleyways of the city, crying between two statues of unfortunate homeless men. We wasted no time in bringing her in and setting up a room.
She is currently one of the only residents required to wear PPE of her own. The AI girls say she has beautiful golden eyes. A few workers like to schedule visits just to dote on her. Though shy around most people, she is grateful for the attention and care that she receives.

Renew my License! I'm Batman
(A) Random Tangent is random(ly generated from a unknown point of origin).  I was thinking about Batman this morning, as I am want to do.  The office did a Polar Plunge thing for charity, and a friend of mine was on the team.  There is apparently some award for best theme group, and they are already planning a theme for next year... so my contribution was this: I would dress in an old Batman costume, ala Hank from Venture Brothers.  I didn't care what their theme was, it would include 'The Bat'.
Dorthy, the Scarecrown, Tin Man, Cowardly Lion, and the Bat.
The Blues Brothers, all in suit coats with hats and sunglasses, and the Bat.
Someone proposed super heroes, saying I could then dress as the Bat with no issues.  I shot that one down.
The most bizarre theme idea to me was MTV animation characters, so Beavis, Butthead, Daria, Jane Lane, and the Bat. Please not, I personally dislike Beavis and Butthead (although not as much as Family Guy).  Daria was okay.
My head canon for Batman is that he's a jerk.  Now, I know there's that old Super Dickery website that proposes much the same about Superman based on single panels or Comic covers taken out of context, but I crafted an elaborate story about how Batman is a jerk.  It mostly involved him harassing an Italian stereotype for some bizarre reason.  Don't ask me.  Other famous episodes involved Batman at the DMV, and Batman raising a child (who was determined to be Dora the Explorer, who is the secret love-child of Batman and Carmen Sandiego.).  Please note, he did all of these things using a ridiculous Christen Bale voice which would ravage my throat when I did for prolonged periods of time.
Head-canon Batman, you so wacky.  You're like 60's Spider-man, only I still think you're funny.

TL:DR - Night Flurry is best Pony
I think I broke my art-i-ness last night by not following my instinct to just draw Night Flurry.  I just hate to flood the interwebs with another OC which 90% of people don't care about, even if I adore him now.
Speaking of which, when did that happen?  Here is where I break down how this character evolved for my own personal analyzing of what went right/wrong in the process of creating a living breathing character.  Some may remember, I was on the verge of scrapping him and creating a new OC because I thought Night was just too plain.
I had a couple characterizations tied to him initially (there's a fic I wrote to try to nail down his character, which is COMPLETELY wrong now XD ).  Night was a bit of a flirt, easy-going pony who worked the night shift, bit of a misfit, liked to make others laugh.  I wrote him modeled loosely after myself from when I was working late shift in Retail, with the intent being this pony was going to be a direct representation of myself for the purpose of... I don't even remember really, I just remember wanting to design a Ponysona for some reason.  Maybe just to do an ask blog, because they were all the craze and seemed like a lot of fun.
I drew him a couple times, the design got refined a bit as I did so, but there was a time I was considering ditching the name as too ordinary, the pegasus weather pony job as too common (although I'd at least like to think that having him work a night shift is fairly unique).  I felt he was just... not good.  But on advice from some of the others in the Artist Training Grounds IRC channel, I let him live for awhile to give him room to grow a bit, outside of being what was essentially just my ponysona, into his own character.
Oh that's right, we're finally at the point where I have someone else to blame! BrokenHero of http://askmahoganypony.tumblr.com/fame, asked to use Night Flurry for an image on his tumblr, because he needed Weather ponies.  The result was http://askmahoganypony.tumblr.com/post/16467627956/ which is amazing.  That image more than anything led me to stay my hand in Night's untimely demise.
After he had some time to breath, at some point we busted out the craziness in the ATG-IRC channel, spending a night of completely random RP action, which resulted in the creation of a RP channel for our wacky antics.  I'd RP'ed before, but it was for Star Wars and D&D, where the role play tends to have a purpose behind it, which is to say, it is oriented around "Who do we go to kill next?".  This chat RP was running pretty free-form with no real idea of what I was doing, and with some random crazy sauce and other such unique touches from the channel, I really couldn't decide how Night would react to anything going on, which resulted in my characterization of his stammer, Throwing in a lot of "um..."s out while talking.  It was literally just me trying to convey my own confusion through the character.  But the others began to interpret it as a nervousness, and due to shenanigans at the time, nearly every other character in the scenario was a mare, or, gender-swapped to a mare (naturally) because the whole thing was bananas and again, shenanigans.  But the nervousness around mares, especially ones he has just met, or one's he has a crush on, stuck.
The other half of Night's primary characterization came about because of a conversation regarding Twilight Sparkle (who is best pony) and my willingness to defend her from those who would say that other ponies were best pony (a clear fabrication). At some point the command went through saying "NightFlurry will defend Twilight Sparkle's Honor", which sparked the idea that would define his character more than anything for me.  His white knight attitude.  This, combined with his nervousness around the mares, I felt was a beautiful set-up for a character.
I forget who started the whole Night x Dusky shipping, but I'm probably going to blame BrokenHero again.  But that completed the characterization for me for the most part, as it gave him a clear goal.  It's only gotten refined since then, but the core of his character feels pretty solid to me, and built upon a lot of opposing strengths and weaknesses. Night possesses a desire to be strong and brave, but a deep fear that he isn't.  His heart is out in the open for all to see, leaving no doubt to his sincerity, but also leaving him vulnerable.  He is very smart, but also impulsive, and naive, rarely taking the time to think before acting.  I wonder... I should take the pony personality quiz as Night Flurry just to see where he falls.

I made up this Title after writing the page.
I should just do a stream of conscious post here ever day to any who would be so crazy as to follow me. Think of it as a writing exercise.  For me, pretty much alone.  Also Acceleron, who follows this tumblr for some reason.  Hope you enjoy this!
So, with the decision hastily made, today's subject is about white-out.  Don't know why, just looked around and it was the first thing I saw on my desk. Well, first 'random' thing.  I'm not going to talk about anything I've placed on the desk on purpose. The White-out is far more interesting on the basis of disinterest.  I honestly don't care about it.  Which is why I will now write several long paragraphs about it.
Oh, and it's not White-out, I guess that's a brand name.  In particular, this one is Correction tape.  Instead of a liquid, its more of an adhesive, which you pull across the paper and leave an almost impossible to ignore stripe of white. After it almost immediately drys, it allows you to poorly write over your mistake anew.  This process can repeat indefinitely as I continue to make mistakes.
Am I the only one who sees strips of white out... errr.. corrective fluid/strips.. and wants to immediately peel it off.  I get the same way about corrective warning stickers on products.  What was under that sticker that required correction? I MUST KNOW!  But regardless... I guess this is all my own fault for insisting on the use of pens, rather then pencils, which for some reason I cannot handle. I think the problem is that I hold my writing implements like I have some kind of warped claw instead of a hand, and when I write with a pencil I smear the pencil all over the bottom of my hand.  This happens with ink as well, but I find it less distasteful, for reasons I can't even begin to think through.
So, in conclusion, my hand hurts, my paper has a visible bulge in it from six layers of corrective adhesive white stripes the Beatles album, and now I can't even remember what number I intended to write there in the first place.  Oh, I think it was a 7. The part that goes like this - and then down like this / always ends up being straight line so I just get the number one.  And I do not want 7 additional white-out containers, I only need to order 1. Because I ran out while filling out my office supply order form.  That was the punchline, although its difficult to tell through all the meandering nonsense, plus the fact that it's not very funny.

This is definitely a thing that happens.
So what am I going to do with this page... free stuff is great and all, but it does feel a bit... barren.
I guess this is a good place to aimlessly ramble and post generally ooc rants and allow me to get generally groovy with this thing.
For example, lets discuss the etymology of the word 'groovy', since I used it, and I'm not going to unuse it. Now, on its face I'm assuming its derived from the word 'groove', since the slang use of 'groovy' was typically used to describe music and popular songs, and this in turn links it to playing records and literally placing the needle of the player 'in the groove' of the record.  A successful placement within the groove defines it as 'groovy'.
Some quick research reveals that groove itself appears to come from the Scandinavian word 'grod' or 'groeve', meaning a cave or ditch, respectively. The words were used to describe any long cut channel, and possibly even tied to the Goth word 'graef', which became the modern word 'grave'.  Note the similarity between grave and groove, which would point to a similar origin.  And indeed, to 'make a groove' was adapted to the spiral cuts within a record during the early 1900's.
Etymology is groovy!
Now then...
