Dream's eyes narrow at him, but there's no real heat behind it. He sets his tea on the table and reaches out so slowly that Hob half wonders if he's ever interacted with a dog before.

"She has dreamt of this," Dream says, his fingers dragging gently over the slope of Olive's skull. The two of them exchange a weighted glance that makes Hob feel very much like he's the odd man out of a silent conversation. "A soft place to sleep. The touch of a kind hand."
