I'm too old for this. I feel as if finding friends at my age gets more complicated. Don't like clubs. College done. And yet no long lasting connections. I need new hobby and a way to meet new people. I need help.

hookup culture is actually wild to me because I have to literally be in love to even hold someone's hand.

I am now the age my mom was she had me. It’s always felt like a deadline in my head. If I want to get married, have kids I need to do it by this age. We are a lot alike, so it seemed to me that our lives would and should follow similar paths. Plus she had me near the end of her fertile years, so it’s partly a biological deadline as well. I’ve done neither and not through lack of desire or effort. I’ve missed the deadline and I feel weird, almost sick. I’m torn between holding out hope that it’ll happen, just a little bit later, and wanting to give up so I can start on accepting that it won’t and trying to find consolation.
