Or rather a perk of being one of the only humans that works here. Helena never lets me take time off.

When will you be back?

Well I haven’t been to work in a while since my accident. But I plan to come back and Helena said I could when I was ready. Which is a perk of rarely ever taking sick days. I definitely see why you’d find most of the stuff that happens entertaining.

It was like one of those jokes - the ones when various people walk into bars. A man in a large trench coat came in, naturally I thought he was there to murder someone, but he just ordered two shots, sat in the corner and mumbled to himself. Then, perhaps an hour after he came in and after ordering another two shots, I heard the man cry out, his coat twisted and bulged. And out from his chest burst a smaller man and then another smaller man. And they had a tiny fight on the floor.

And what exactly is meant by “hiatus”? Personally, I believe I find it to be enjoyable. But this may be because I like to entertain myself by using the people.

Yes, money. But I’m on a hiatus, so I like it a lot more right now. There also are other options under enjoying. There’s tolerating, there’s “okay.” Sometimes it’s entertaining but that’s just people.

I just barely stopped myself from asking, “Then why do you work here?” and then I remembered about money. On some level - some curious, voyeuristic level - you must enjoy some of it.

I don’t think I ever enjoyed it.

It was after my shift, at like 1am I guess. Someone else walking home called 911 for me, so that’s how the rest of that happened.
