Dark Knight
Haven't watched this movie in a long time and I've been wanting to so I did tonight. I remember now why this is the best Batman movie of the Nolan trilogy and probably of all time. It's not because of Heath Ledger's oscar worthy performance, or the amazing special effects. No, it's because of the powerful message. There will always be a battle of good vs. evil, anarchy vs conformity. Who better to portray that struggle than The Joker and Batman. The realization that Batman is not what Gotham (and the world) ultimately needs is brought to light with the emergence of DA Harvey Dent. Dent represents a shining symbol of righteousness and good. A role model for society. Batman exists to, in essence, sink almost to a criminal level and fight the good fight where no one else can and so guys like Dent can stay being a shiny, squeaky clean example for the rest of us. Batman realizes that in order for there to be a lasting change people like Dent are who he needs to pass the torch on to and to teach the People of Gotham that the law does work. In a time of chaos and uncertainty this message hits home. Any one of us could be a victim. But, they only truly win when all hope and faith in the system is lost. When fear tales over and we stop standing up for what's right. We as a society must keep our faith in the justice system and each other. Believe in something bigger then ourselves.

Football
It's that time of year again. Thats right, its football season again! (And not the sissy kind w/your foot) Im very excited to watch my Giants and I am especially excited for fantasy football. Watching the NFL is great but when you have a personal stake in a handful of players spread throughout the league its all the more enjoyable. You watch games you probably normaly wouldnt watch (Patriots), and you root for rival players just so your buddy doesnt win bragging rights. All in all it makes the football season much mor exciting. I don't know about you but I hate to lose especially to my friends. So you study, read, watch, just for the off chance you have the greatest draft day of your life and you can be a fantasy champion come seasons end and rub it in your best friends faces for a few months. More often then not, much like all the 31 teams in the NFL each year that dont get Super Bowl rings, we lose. In my case horribly. But, enjoy the season, the beers, the chicken wings, and the halftime shows because there's always next year. You've just been JORDANATED!

Chris Pratt is the man. It's good to see people who've made it big give back!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chris Pratt worked with Marvel and Children’s Miracle Network Hospital to arrange a special screening of Guardians of the Galaxy for patients, families and staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Wednesday. While the movie played, Pratt snuck out and dressed up as his character, Star-Lord. He spent more than three hours in full costume and handed out movie-themed toys. Pratt also visited patients in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, and the Pediatric ICU, as they were too sick to join the movie screening that afternoon.
Pratt spent extra time with one patient, Dylan Prunty, who is a longtime Lego fan and recognized the actor’s voice from The Lego Movie. They spent about 10 minutes reciting different scenes from the film.

Star Wars
I just heard (I'll be it from a concession stand girl at the movie theater) that Harrison Ford was the only one out of the original cast of Star Wars to pass his physical for the new upcoming film... Is that really any surprise...Ford is the only one of them that's worked since Return of the Jedi! Carrie Fisher? I wouldn't catch that fish with your pole! Hamill looks exhausted... Must have been rough sitting on your ass for 30yrs voicing cartoons. But of course we will all go se it cuz JJ Abrahms keeps a secret better then anyone so we are all curious as hell, and of course because it's friggin STAR WARS!!!!! You've just been JORDANATED!!!
