it has been long but big hollow knight update! I now have 175 hours in my main save, a lot of which have now gone towards pantheons. I beat absrad today on my third day of (Hall of Gods) attempts, then threw myself back into p5 for a bit and died to way earlier bosses a couple times before I realised I was just too tired to do well so then:

Made a very bad attempt at colo 3, showed my friends around the world a bit (I was streaming it on discord) - showed them Glowing Womb (much appreciated) and Weaversong (much appreciated, I believe this is where a spider breeding kink joke was made), my mom the White Lady and more specifically the breeding line (much appreciated), and then my thousands of dead siblings in the Abyss (the hatchlings attacked the void siblings even though I have Voidheart, which was unexpected in the bad way) and also the void ocean.

Then moved onto my steel soul save that i started a couple days back and only played for 8 minutes before chickening out and actually got quite a bit!!! beat false knight, bought some map shit, moved on to greenpath and had the scariest moss knight encounter of my life (i was down to TWO MASKS) before beating hornet hitless and then visiting quirrel at the lake of unn + getting the stag station before speeding down to queen’s station and talking to quirrel there. And then left off for the night bc interspersed with this were several long and emotional conversations about life + mental and chronic illness so I’d been going for a total of like 12 hours if not more and cried my eyes out several times over and also it was 3:30am. All in all a good time <3

(My goal for the steel soul save is to get every achievement I can’t on my main save, those being:

- leaving Zote to die

- not killing the Nailsmith (I didn’t realise I had a choice!!!!)

- banishing the Grimm Troupe

- and obviously the two Steel Soul achievements. The speed completion ones I’m leaving for a different playthrough - I don’t want to rush through my second ever experience of the game more than feels natural.)

Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine. No one with these "lycanthropy bad" takes ever wants to discuss the legitimate positives that come with this "curse" lmao.
