hold on a fucking second. delaware is a state?? i thought it was a river? or is the river more important than the state? why don't i know this? (i should mention i don't like in america, i'm just confused)

All of them are soulmate aus, except for bewitched and charmed, which were bonus updates anyway.

Day 1- Semblances: Winter Schnee, Professional Wingman: When you turn 17, your soulmate’s Semblance appears on your arm. Clover turns 17 with his team around him and finds out that his soulmate’s Semblance is misfortune. His teammates find it hilarious, but he wonders if his soulmate’s life is hell because of it. Qrow’s life is definitely hell because of his Semblance, but he waits for that one fateful day where he’s destined to meet the person who’s going to balance it out. Unfortunately for both of them, they’re oblivious. Winter takes matters into her own hands.

Day 2- Date: Blake Belladonna, Professional Matchmaker: When soulmates fall in love, a string appears to tie them together. White for platonic soulmates, red for romantic, and pink for both. Blake is happy with Yang, but she knows that most of her team is missing their own soulmates. She’s not an idiot, (unlike the rest of them) so she and Yang manage to set a few things up. Blake and Yang devise plans to get the oblivious soulmates together. On the same day as the Mantle Fair, Blake and Yang finally get an opportunity to use Code Birb.

Day 3- Weapons: Tyrian Callows, Professional Homophobe: It’s a well-known fact that you can’t hurt your soulmate, Aura or no Aura. Sometimes, when a Huntsman or Huntress has used their weapon for long enough, it becomes considered a part of them. Tyrian tries to stab Clover one fateful day, and Harbinger bounces off.

Day 4- Birds: One Day: Only soulmates can touch each other’s birds, so when Oscar watches Qrow touch Clover’s bird and do nothing about it, he’s allowed to be a little confused.

Day 5- Hurt/Comfort: (TW for Ep12) Until the End: Soulmates can feel each other’s emotions almost like their own, allowing them to try to comfort each other. Qrow and Clover don’t realize who their soulmates are until their fateful battle. Without Clover, Qrow resigns himself to a life without that source of comfort. That’s when Yang punches the door down with the Staff of Creation in tow.

Day 6- Mantle Battle: It Must Suck to Be Straight, but I Wouldn’t Know: Once you meet your soulmate, you feel their pain, whether physical or emotional. Qrow has watched a lot of First Meetings and is yet to experience his own. When he does, though, his soulmate can barely stand when he feels Qrow’s pain. Neither of them ever learn what a stab wound feels like, because why would Qrow let Tyrian stab Clover?

Day 7- AU: mini masterlist here

Terrible Soulmate-Finding Advice: In Remnant, when you throw something you love on the full moon, it lands on your soulmate. These days, people throw their Scrolls, mostly for the personal information and the fact that everyone loves them. The more romantic people will attach a note to something of theirs that they treasure when they throw it. Qrow threw his sword, because of course he would.

Jeff Bezos and Amazon are a fucking blight upon the working class. He got rich by treating rank and file employees like hot garbage toiling under dehumanizing, backbreaking conditions for shitty pay. When there are this many random strangers across various sectors/departments of a single company sharing similar horror stories, that can’t be dismissed as just a few disgruntled ex-employees. Grievances like these are why I quit using Amazon. They made my life easier at the expense of thousands of hardworking people being mistreated and disrespected behind closed doors. (thread)

things that 15 year old me did sophomore year that my southern-bred god-fearing conservative christian teachers Did Not Like

teacher refused to let me sit backwards in chairs. i made a point to sit backwards in chairs until she told me to stop, and then id manspread as much as possible. (semester one.)

teacher got onto my friend and gave her a panic attack over her newly dyed hair. i told her my friend putting red streaks in her hair was no different than her removing the grey streaks from her hair. got sent outside. (semester one)

teacher told me my bra strap was showing. took my bra off in class and put it in bag. was sent to principal’s office. mother was called, although she only muffled her laughter over the telephone. (semester two)

[to homophobic teacher who disliked my mothers] “what language is gaelic from? gayland?” “that’s where my moms are from, ma’am.”

teacher claimed i was lying about moving to uruguay and tried to force me into sitting in a personal meeting about my future classes and goals. told her to “sign me the fuck up for underwater basket weaving” and got sent outside. (semester two)

was told by teacher that “ladies should not say they have to pee. try ‘can i use the restroom’ instead” replied with “alright. i gotta piss like a racehorse. can i use the restroom?“ (got sent outside. again. semester two)

was told to “smile, you’ll look nicer” by a 6′0″ male coach i did not know. when he blocked my entrance out of the classroom until i smiled for him, i said “shove it straight up your ass,” before elbowing him in the ribcage, ducking under his arm, and running for it. skipped class in that building for a week. (semester two)

hopped a fence to catch my bus and flipped off an ancient male history teacher when he shouted at me to come back. he threatened to find me again. he never found me.
