IMPORTANT BUDDIE QUESTION FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON

I'm sure someone's asked this before but now I'm asking: between buck and eddie who would be the one afraid of bugs? And just how scared would they be? (Platonic or romantic buddie interpretations are welcome)

I just can't decide which concept I like more cuz they're all really funny, and I tried to keep it in character but feel free to riff off what I have here!

i want a double buddie proposal. one where they are lying on the couch and just talking about the future and they both kind of give away that they are planning on doing it soon because they are terrible at keeping secrets from each other. and suddenly they look into each other’s eyes and their competitiveness kicks in. and they jump from the couch and they try to outrun each other to the bedroom, buck grabbing the back of eddie’s t-shirt, eddie latching to buck’s leg.

and they’re both laughing and eddie is shouting, “let me do this, damn it! i love you!!” and buck yells back, “i love you more!!! you are getting proposed to tonight, diaz!!!” and eddie hits back with, “you’re a pain the the ass, future diaz!!!”

and in the end neither of them propose. or maybe they both do. but the words are never said.

when they both reach the rings they bought —they both hid them in their work bags because they are nothing if not one and the same— they just turn into blabbering messes and they are talking over each other and buck starts crying immediately and eddie can’t stop giggling and they both just lean in and kiss each other and say, “yes, yeah, yes. always yes. a thousand times yes.” until it is impossible to tell which words belong to whom. but it’s clear to see they both belong to the other when they slide their engagement rings on at the same time.

bucktommy is cute im loving seeing buck happy and giddy and flirty and CANONICALlY BISEXUAL but like the reason im not all that invested in it is because it is basically (so far) like a little sweet romcom relationship without a ton of narrative weight.

vs buddie which is like. ive had your blood in my mouth. i counted the seconds your heart was stopped. i broke down a door to get to to you, to step inside the mess with you. your heart restarted under my hands. i clawed at the muddy ground and sobbed in my captains arms when i thought you were gone. there's no one i trust with my son (MY HEART MY WORLD MYSELF) more than you.

there's just no comparison and like. yeah! buck SHOULD have a cute little romcom relationship! but it's just never going to match the sheer deranged hold that buddie has on my brain because literally what could.

Milkshake and Fries (Omegaverse Mpreg)

"Put that down. Right. Now," Buck said in his alpha voice.

Eddie rolled his eyes at his mate's tone. "It's just a bag of pillows, baby," he informed the alpha. "And don't you use that voice with me"

"I have to when you won't listen to me," Buck replied. "You are 7 months pregnant, babygirl, and the doctor has said that you need rest. So that's what you're going to do."

"The doctor also said that I need some light exercise, which I will get if you let me help with the move," Eddie insisted.

"Nope, you can get your light exercise when we go on a walk around the neighborhood this evening," Buck told him. "For now, you're-" He picked up the milkshake and a McDonald's bag that were on a box and handed them to Eddie. "-gonna indulge in your cravings and let me do all the work."

"Oh yeah? So the big bad alpha gets to do all the heavy lifting while the dainty omega is supposed to sit aside and look pretty? I see how it is," Eddie huffed and took the food from him.

"I know what you're doing and it's not gonna work," Buck replied and picked up a box and set it aside. He stood there thinking before he snapped his fingers like had got an idea and picked up another box and set that aside as well. He opened the box underneath it and took out his hoodies, sweaters, t-shirts, and henleys.

"What are you doing?" Eddie asked, confused, as he took a sip of the milkshake.

Instead of answering, Buck took the clothes and scattered them on the floor and then took out pillows from the bag and put them on the floor as well. When he finished, he came over to Eddie, "Come on, sit in your makeshift nest and have your food," he said guiding Eddie over to the "nest" with a hand on the small of his back.

"I can't believe you're treating me like this," Eddie huffed but sat down on the pillows with Buck's help.

"Treating you like what? Like you're the love of my life and I want to make sure you and our baby are safe?" Buck asked as he crouched next to Eddie. He leaned in and kissed his cheek.

"You're lucky you're cute." Eddie couldn't help the smile that played across his lips. He grabbed Buck's shirt and pulled him in for a kiss.

Buck let out a surprised sound that Eddie swallowed and kept kissing him. Eddie then let go of Buck and smirked at him when he noticed Buck's parted lips and heaving breathing.

"That's for not letting me do anything," Eddie chuckled and picked up the brown bag, pulling a fry, and taking a bite.

"If that's what I get for not letting you do anything then I won't let you do anything ever," Buck replied and kissed Eddie one more time before going back to lifting and moving the boxes around.

Meanwhile, Eddie happily dipped the fries in the milkshake and ate them while admiring his alpha and how easily he picked up the heavy boxes with no effort.

"Hey, can you bring that box here?" Eddie asked when he saw Buck pick up an old white banker's box that had stickers on it.

"What's in here?" Buck asked bringing over the box and setting it down in front of Eddie.

Eddie put aside his food and opened the box. He smiled and took out photos, toys, and baby clothes. "These were Christopher's." He pouted as he put up a onesie with pictures of Spider-Man on it. He then took out an old brown teddy bear and looked at it with tears in his eyes. "He grew up so fast."

Buck smiled and picked up the photos from Eddie's lap and looked through them. "He was such a cute baby."

"He was," Eddie agreed. He cuddled the teddy bear close to his chest before touching his protruding belly with his other hand. "I can't wait to meet this little one."

Buck reached out and put a hand on top of Eddie's. "Neither can I," he replied before pressing a kiss to Eddie's forehead.

3. does what you say matter? is it contributing to a meaningful discussion, or are you just venting?

this is a fictional tv show comprised of fictional characters. is it worth attacking real people over? if you are just venting, avoid tagging or replying to users as if you are trying to have a discussion. this will prevent you from getting into an argument that goes nowhere because nobody involved actually cares about the other side.

4. what is the context of the post that you are engaging with?

is it meant to be a post that encourages discussion, or is it just another fandom member having fun posting about their ship? your opinion on a ship is NOT needed on an edit, a gif set or a post of headcanon of that ship. people are allowed to have fun.

5. is what you’re saying meaningful, or are you just insulting someone?

are you actually engaging in good faith debate, or are you just looking for an excuse to call someone ‘delusional?’ do you actually believe you can have a debate with someone, or do you just want to call the other person stupid? so many of you are getting into arguments where it just consists of name calling. calm down.
