Last night I dreamed that everyone on Discord was picking which Tales character they were most similar to, and I picked Guy. I was like, yes! The resemblance is uncanny! He's actually just like me, it's the perfect choice!

Now, awake, I think, what the fuck? Guy???? I mean... we're both nerds? I'm probably more similar to Guy than, say, Jade, but... I have no idea what dream!me was on about.

Anyway. Which Tales hero are you least similar to? Which result from a "Which character are you?" quiz would make you say "hey what?"

Specifying heroes because picking a villain is easy/boring. Like yeah. I have very little in common with Zagi. This is obvious. Define hero as you wish.

Nah it was by intention. Derrick is an asshole in his actions, but not like Jude was doing things he should've. Taking Milla to the mines full of monsters, a mine that also collapses later in the game, gets a yikes from me. Slapping Jude for it isn't right, we'll agree there.

Then there's Zephyr. Better attitude, yet he lets his son go run off to join the people he's fighting against. Which the first time they rejoin his first line is "You're alive?", which tells me he just assumed he was dead for a while. PARDON ME, SIR? Clearly his rebellion mattered more than his son if he didn't even know he was alive.

Derrick actually tried to keep his son safe; Zephyr, nah. "Oh hey son, you're with the bad guys? Thought you died lol". Wow. Get why Derrick won, but man I think folks excuse the insane amount of neglect Zephyr has for his son to let him go missing, never bother to go find him, not notice he was working WITH the Renans, and assumed for years he was dead. YIKES.

"Why did you put these characters against each other? They have nothing in common?" WRONG - they both raised sons who punch shit. Duh. Plus, Law got a Jude costume in the dlc, so the connection is obvious.

Anyway, we've got Jude's shitty dad versus Law's complicated relationship with his father.

Leia Rolando (Leia Swaglando) -- Lord Partizan Jude Mathis (Jude Rolando) -- Tribal Grappler

A pair of high schoolers and friends who've known each other since before attending school. Despite Leia being two years older, Jude accelerated to her grade level thanks to his extensive studying (and Jude proofreading Leia's homework).

When Leia's grades start dropping, Jude asked why, and that's due to Leia spending a lot of time in The World R:2. With some goading (and a bit of strong-arming that she won't touch homework until she finishes a quest), Jude signs up as co-leader of Leia's newbie support guild, Leronde.

The two happen upon Rudonya after Chronos Data Drains him and resets him to Level 1, both of whom agree to teach Ludger the basics. Though once they find out he's actually the reset Scion of Kresnik, they still don't abandon him and aim to help him level back up to his former glory. Ludger also becomes their guild leader to help promote that even PKKs can want to help newbies.

Headcanons:

People often mistake Jude for the Demon Palace's Emperor, Final Fury✧, due to their similar character models; the difference is their colors and Final Fury✧'s hair is spiky while Jude's is flat.

Leia never uses her spears like a spear, opting to use them like pointed clubs. Despite this, she has a decent career in the Arena as team Beauty Girls with her friends Driselle and Nova.

Before Ludger joins, Leia used to handle getting items for the shop while Jude sold them. But when Ludger joins, Jude suggests Leia run the store since her bubbly attitude is a plus, and maybe it'll teach her the patience she needs in school.

Enjoy Nii-san and Victor going at it cause I thought it'd be funny to have this scene as Julius instead of Ludger. And this being NG+, you get to see Victor with a giant Piko Hammer and Vesperia Feather Blades which is kek.

As for why the last part cut out, it's a quirk of the 60 FPS mod making the scene load too fast so it skips to the battle before Victor does the little lance flippy trick. Need be I can just turn it off if someone wants it raw but such is life.

Speaking of funny Ludger clears, here’s one of my favorite stages using the most zany strategies to run, which involves Ludger (and Julius cause I can)! 

Nothing feels more cathartic to body a Bad End stage by making the entire party look like wimps trying to kill Ludger, Julius, and their 3 mystery friends. Alas, by the time we kill Leia, their fate is already sealed. Nothing can stop the Kresnik Bros.
