one of the biggest things I can advocate for (in academia, but also just in life) is to build credibility with yourself. It’s easy to fall into the habit of thinking of yourself as someone who does things last minute or who struggles to start tasks. people will tell you that you just need to build different habits, but I know for me at least the idea of ‘habit’ is sort of abstract and dehumanizing. Credibility is more like ‘I’ve done this before, so I know I can do it, and more importantly I trust myself to do it’. you set an assignment goal for the day and you meet it, and then you feel stronger setting one the next day. You establish a relationship with yourself that’s built on confidence and trust. That in turn starts to erode the barrier of insecurity and perfectionism and makes it easier to start and finish tasks. reframing the narrative as a process of building credibility makes it easier to celebrate each step and recognize how strong your relationship with yourself can become

She is a woman who is a good role model for other women. Titus 2:7-8

She is a woman who is always learning and growing in her faith. 2 Peter 3:18

She is a woman who is an example of God’s grace to those around her. Romans 12:16-21

She is a woman who works on forgiveness toward others. Ephesians 4:32

She is a woman who values God’s opinion above ALL others. Proverbs 31:30

You may not be everything you thought you'd be by now but you can be the one who loves, serves, and gives her all, and waters and nurtures every plant in the garden that God has already given her.

be a girl who isn’t afraid to fill her cup first. metaphorically but also literally. stay hydrated bitch.

I love being girly, I love doing my nails, taking a long hot shower, smelling good, having a waxed body in summer and my natural body hair in winter, I love pretty clothes and my menstrual cycle that connects me with the moon and the plants, I love being soft and emotional, I love that my voice is low but can resonate in the heart of those that can listen, I love my kind eyes and long hair, I love connecting with other women that understand being a woman, I love my girly room with my stuffed animals and fairylights, I love that the more i get old the more I resemble my mother and my grandmother, I love you Grey hair and wrinkles you're the signs that I'm privileged enough because I lived! I'm alive and I'm a girl and it's scary but also worth it because life is so beautiful when you look it like this
