I’m on the verge of writing a mutichapter Eriel fic. It’ll be enemies to lovers aka /love/hate. Basically it’s gonna be about how they actually met each other as children, believed what their parents said about each other’s worlds which causes a string of bad interactions between just the two of them. But then they later grew out of believing their parents ideologies as their wonder and curiosity of each other’s world’s grew. BUT! After meeting each other years later (in the present day where the movie takes place) they still hate each other because of their negative, mutual and personal childhood history (but they don’t hate/fear each others worlds anymore) if that makes sense? Oh! And they fall deeply in love through it all!

THERE WAS ONLY ONE CHAIR because presumably, the queen doesn't understand Eric's fascination & servants keep away out of respect for him. So, there's no use having chairs around since nobody hangs out with him here. The implication that he must've felt alone for years until, well, her. They're twin souls. I'm gonna sob in the corner real quick.

AND

This should not be applauded, but that mofo knelt on the floor afternoon 'till evening so she can sit (or not, she might be sitting on a box here) on the only comfortable seat in his library like a fucking gentleman. 

A prince on his knees, literally and figuratively. gddamn it, disney.

thinking about how he’s (6’1”) basically an entire foot taller than her (5’2”) 🥰

we seriously need halle bailey and jonah hauer-king in more movies together... their chemistry is off the damn charts. even rob marshall said he had no choice in who would play prince eric (even though it was the right choice regardless) because as soon as halle screen tested with jonah they clicked instantly and the chemistry was crazy.

we need them in rom-coms or literally anything. i will take anything at this point. they can be "work wife and husband."

HEAR ME OUT... imagine when the remake of The Bodyguard is made like it was said it would in 2021. Billboard said the best option would be halle bailey, and many others agreed. we would just need jonah as the bodyguard. hollywood.... i'm begging! don't let chemistry like this go to waste!

in the live action the little mermaid, we really got halle bailey, the most ethereal beauty, the most kind, and the most angelic vocalist (+ amazing actress) as ariel. we really got jonah hauer-king, one of the finest men i have ever seen, extremely humble, the biggest green flag of a man, and just talented overall, as prince eric. they have the most chemistry between two leads that i have seen in a hot minute, on and off camera (excluding tomdaya obviously). (i also love how much jonah and halle laugh when they're around each other in real life). and the live action was just an amazing movie overall? i don't know what we did in our past lives to deserve this, but truthfully, we won!

am I the only one thinking that this is very intimate:

“There you are (Halle’s siren song)

Over me (Halle’s siren song)

Halle’s siren song during that verse is not very clear in the movie theater version but if you listen to the song on Spotify or Apple Music it’s VERY much there and clear and I’m not going to lie to you… this particular verse feels very intimate to me. It’s so brilliant: Eric recalling and longing for the way it felt to have her draped over him singing her siren song to pull him out of unconsciousness.

Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda.. I owe you both for this.

YES YES YES i heard this and it’s just so super poetic and in a way it kinda reminds me of the scene where ariel and eric are reunited and the music in the background is a mix of the instrumentals in wild uncharted waters and part of your world. alan menken and lin-manuel miranda were the duo we didn’t deserve but the one we needed.
