i think the hottest look you can give someone after they commit acts of unspeakable violence is approval. like don't get me wrong if there's lust there too that's great, but staring at someone with gore dripping down their chin and coating their hands to the wrists with undisguised appraisal and admiration. maybe giving them a little nod as if to say 'well done'. THAT'S what says "yeah we're gonna fuck nasty later".

i can’t stop thinking about that scene in the bedroom between tashi and art. it’s no secret that tashi has control of art, but it’s so present in this scene in particular. art announces that he’s going to retire, and when tashi tells him that he doesn’t need her permission, that’s when her control becomes so so evident to me. you see it as soon as art doesn’t respond. he could easily say ‘i know’ but he doesn’t, because he does need her permission so badly. and when he says ‘i play for the both of us’ that’s the reason why he won’t retire. not only because her control of him is so strong as his coach and wife, but the fact that he’s carrying both of their playing careers on his back, he knows for a fact that tashi wouldn’t be retiring if she was the one playing so why would he. it also carries on the theme that they (art, tashi & patrick) do everything for each other, just like how tashi told art she’d leave him if he lost then went right to patrick and told him to lose on purpose. they’re such an intrinsic part of each other’s lives, no wonder they can’t ignore it.
