I’m going to rant

Okay, what I don’t get is why KJ isn’t doing anything. I can’t tell if it’s because of Mandy, and it totally could be, her experience is mostly with small acts, KJ is way bigger than anything she’s worked with before. It could also be KJ’s own choice, but I get the feeling he was never coached, that he thinks that networking and talking to the right industry people and being nice to everyone in the industry is how you becoming successful, and, while that was the case, it’s not as much anymore. 

If he does give a shit now, he has four options:

1. Go back to how he used to use social media. This means posting dumb shit on Twitter daily and bringing Roger back. it means responding to fans and doing filters, it means POSTING STORIES OF HIS OWN FUCKING PREMIERE!

2. Get a girlfriend. Spend a lot of time with her.  Support her things publicly and make sure she supports his. Go to fashion shows and find that one thing he can latch onto even if he’s not that into fashion. Success now relies on involvement in fashion, sad, but true. And make sure to be invited to all things he is interested in, like the BBMAs today, for instance. 

3. Come out. Be authentically himself. Do make up tutorials on live and whatever else the real KJ is into. Say “slay gaga” and talk about Otis and Adam in Sex education. Go to gay clubs and gab with the drag queens, do drag himself. Maybe even be a guest on something with the queer eye boys, or just acknowledge Queer Eye exists. 

4. Be very clear that his private life is his private life. Don’t post on social media except for promotion. Do really really solid interviews, and show up in friends’ videos. Become known as a Harry Styles type where his public persona is very much a persona and everyone knows it, except for those few glimpses into his life in in depth interviews. 

But this wishy washy shit doesn’t work. 

KJ is the most unknown person of known people, if that makes any sense, and someone has to explain to him that that’s not how this works. He has options, but he has to pick one.
