Someone liked this so now you’re stuck with my disjoined rambles.

So technically being bitten doesn’t turn you, it just overloads your poor immune system with a multitude of different bacteria (even more the longer the dead ferment). So unless you go to hospital and see a doctor, not possible in the middle of the apocalypse -unfortunately, or disinfect and take some antibiotics it’s very unlikely you’d survive, but in the walking dead that’s a sure fire way to turn anyway.

However even if I was to bite a normal person now they’d still have to go to hospital and get it checked out especially if I had broken the skin so even without the dead rising, biting people is still a killer if done correctly/ if you break the skin (making them bleed is important! Gotta mix the blood in the saliva that’s the real killer here as humans have very dirty bacteria filled mouths).

Anyway, already getting sidetracked over here, the walking dead virus, and I will debate the idea of it being a “virus” with my limited doctor-y knowledge, would cause the body to react a lot like covid caused people to react by kickstarting a cytokine storm.

But, I hear you ask, Kramphyx what about the people who were asymptomatic during covid? What of the carries? Well I am making the suggestion that it’s the same in the walking dead universe (TWDU). Some people will be more obvious in their infection, and would likely die from in, and especially in the earlier days before the world fell to its knees, people could survive the infection, some wouldn’t even show as infected but could pass it along and a minute few would *gasp* be immune to it!

Being immune to turning however will not save you. You can still die. No one is truly safe in this world.

Is it a virus?

They called it wildlife virus so it has to be right? Wrong. I propose it’s a fungus. Or maybe even a bacterial fungus.

So truthfully I don’t actually know the full difference between the three but from the very limited knowledge I have I know it can’t be a virus. Viruses can’t reanimate people. Viruses die with the host so if you have a virus and you die, then the virus dies with you.

A fungus though? Technically it’s its own separate thing, doesn’t need the person to be alive, might actually be easier for it if they host was dead as I theorise that the root cause of the Wildfire Virus is actually what Kirkman joked about.

Wildlife was a space spore.

Why do I have a horrible, no good feeling that Lumine was the third descender?

It’s entirely possible that our sibling is basically a puppet, like the Raiden Shogun or Wanderer and that our poor sibling was killed because of whatever sin Khaenri'ah committed.

Plus if Lumine died and a puppet replaced her it would explain why Irminsul thinks she’s of Teyvet.

Anyway onto the theory, what if the “sinner” is Lucifer himself? Yaknow the original sinner of the Bible for going directly against god and oh wait, didn’t the sinner go directly against Celeste in Genshin too?

So glad our sibling follows the devil, anyway I’m going to be over here with Paimon, the MOST OBEDIENT king of hell (and most loyal follower of Lucifer) and our Archon friends Barbatos (earl and duke who can see the past and future as well as find hidden treasures), Morax (demon president who teaches sciences and knows of herbs and precious stones, Baal (first king, teaching the art of invisibility and is technically the sin of gluttony) and Buer (the demon president of herbs, nature, philosophy and logic).

And our soon to be pal, Forneus, the giant sea monster….

Aye, I’m back again and it’s closer to Fontaine then anywhere else (that I’ve seen).

It’s somewhere between Fontaine and Liyue.

Anyways, I also think it’s closely related to the “cleansing” spikes in Dragonspire and the Chasm because of its design.

^that also mimics the Home Screen pillar design as well as Paimon overall aesthetic.

It also closely correlates to my theory that Lumine and Aether are some sort of royalty to Teyvet, maybe even Royalty related to Celestia somehow (probably not though but maybe?)

Does anyone know what that floating island is north-east ish from the back of the desert? It’s most visible from the Hypostyle part of the desert but I know it’s not the jade chamber because that’s more east but also because you can see there’s slight pyramids in the way?

I might be a dumbass and it could be the jade chamber it just looks north of Sumeru and I wanna know what it is.

I think I’ve figured it out! I think it’s Celestia. You can see it from multiple points on the map so and it’s deffo not the Jade chamber because I’m now staring at it from said chamber.

There is no vaccine for a fungus infection

You telling me three medic dropouts that haven’t done any proper medicine in 20 years can figure out a cure better than a scientist on the top of her field who suggested to bomb the cities w her in it because there is no cure for a fungus infección

A 14y/o traumatised can’t consent to give up their life for a chance to get a slight inside of how are inmune to the infection

A doc and two nurses w crappy medical equipment aren’t suitable to find any kind of cure, even if that cure were possible

How were supposed to develop, storage, distribute the vaccine. Which infrastructure were going to use???

I imagine that Fedra, raiders, rapists and other ppl in power w the current status quo wouldn’t be happy to find out their position of power was about to weaken

In the 0.000000000000001% chance they could get the cure I bet they’d use it as a political tool not in order to save humanity

Anyway I had a weird brain thought last night and thought I’d share (and this don’t come from me silently complaining about fan art of a siren with the tattoos on the wrong side)

What if the tattoos are on the left because that’s the side the hearts on and the powers need the heart to function? Maybe there’s a siren out there with that tats on the right because their organs are on opposite sides or something.

Completely forgot but here’s my option on the cure.

Ellie is immune but you can’t get a cure out of her via surgery.

The fireflies did two things before settling on surgery. A blood test and an MRI. That was it.

Plus cordycepts (spell bad) is a parasite so killing the host would’ve just killed Ellie’s immunity too so they would’ve been back a square one.

This is why I’m a Jerry Anderson hater ppl. He wouldn’t have sacrificed Abby, he wanted to be known as the man who cured humanity, he was a surgeon not a scientist.

Anyway, keeping Ellie sedated in case she disagreed or refused to die like that is inherently a little cowardly. They should’ve asked her consent or at least informed her of what was going on. Then they can be fucked up and disregard that because why the fuck would these people listen to a child that could save all their lives?

Just learnt that Typhon is the infernal name for Satan and it’s fitting because Typhon De Leon became the devil in his children’s personal hell so that’s some symbolism right there.

Someone else on here mentioned the connection between Calypso and the gap between games / being the in world gap of 7 years so there’s a double symbolism going on.
