ᴡʜᴀᴛ'ꜱ ɪɴ ʜᴇʀ ᴘʜᴏɴᴇ?

Yang Mi’s phone is mostly used for taking photos of herself, fashion and even makeup looks that she does on a daily basis. Her most used app? Definitely her camera, though besides that she’s known for constantly being on Snapchat and Instagram ( she doesn’t use Twitter much because she forgets about it and we’re only going with that excuse because while editing the PSD I forgot to change the dates... lol ). Of course she’s also active as well on her YouTube ( I’ll do a seperate post on that later since that’s a different category of its own ) but she mostly likes to keep her public life and private life seperate to some extent, which is why she actually does have secret secondary accounts for Instagram and Twitter ( again which she forgets to use ) which is mainly just for close friends and family to follow her on.

so, i may or may not have forgotten to do an intro post for yang mi.. so yeah this is late but here it is! lol yang mi (also known as ‘mimi’ by her closest friends) is a 20 year old, 2nd year student at kyungwon university. she’s majoring in department of computer science but when she’s not in class she’s running her own youtube channel that revolves around the other side of her personality! below i’ll list a few fact about her to get her started off, along with some possible connection ideas, and if anyone would like to plot feel free to like this post and i’ll come to you in dm’s!

born and raised in shanghai, china

managed to convince her parents to allow her to study in korea (despite her father still not convinced it’s a good idea and doing his best to convince her to come back home)

only her close friends call her ‘mimi’ and she will only respond to them when called this (plot idea: someone she despises that calls her this just to get on her nerves?)

she has her own youtube channel which revolves around fashion, makeup and her occasional vlogs she does (she has 1.2 million subscribers)

most find it hard to believe that someone with her looks is majoring in computer science, though we have to thank her father and his company/business for her fascination with technology really

her father owns a big technology corporation, with locations in countries such as china, japan, korea, taiwan, thailand the u.s, etc. meanwhile her mother is a well-known fashion designer (which is where she gets her love for fashion at).

she may look like one of those snobby rich kids (which she can be at times if she’s annoyed by you), but she’s usually a sweet person. it just depends on the person and her mood really.

she’s in the film club and ice skating club, both of which are just mainly her hobbies (she secretly wishes that kyungwon had a volleyball team tbh)

she tends to dye her hair differently when she feels like she needs a little bit of a ‘change’ in her life, usually posting photos of the ‘before’ and ‘after’ results on her instagram

fun fact: she’s able to actually text rather quickly without even looking at her phone

fun fact #2: she can actually help fix computers, even can build gaming computers for those who are into gaming as a hobby (she charges pretty high though because parts aren’t cheap y’all!)

even though she comes from money, she wants to live independently, so she has her earnings from youtube and even the small tech side jobs she has (psst, she has a black card in her wallet at all times which she rarely uses unless she actually has to... thank you dad! lol)

some plot/connection ideas?

like stated above, someone who she finds annoying, doesn’t really get along with, and would rather not have to deal with, who calls her ‘mimi’ because they know that she can’t stand them and does this purposely just to mess with her. (side note: could possible even be one of those ‘enemies to friends to lovers’ type of plots over time depending on how well they ‘connect’ with one another, or even just end up as a ‘enemies to ‘friends’’ type of thing!)

someone who is either a big fan of her father’s technology, or even her mother’s fashion line. they somehow find out who her parents are and have it in their head that if they become friends with her they’ll get free stuff. news flash, she doesn’t even give her closest friends free items.

a person who despises her and thinks that she’s ‘fake’, setting out to dig up some real dirt on her and expose her.

an ex boyfriend which she dated during her first year at kyungwon. either the breakup left them as friends, strangers, or even maybe some lingering (one-sided) feelings. either way, he’s saved in her phone now as ‘that ex’ with an emoji to go with how she feels about them now.

someone who seeks her out for some fashion advice. whether they just want another opinion on an outfit, need to spice up their wardrobe, or even need a change of clothing/style.

maybe someone who’s computer broke down, or even someone who wants to hire her to build them a gaming computer (be warned that either option is pricey, though her building a pc is even more pricier! don’t worry though, if you can’t afford it she’ll maybe be nice enough to set you up on a ‘payment arrangement’)
