9/10 Lost a point for no drinks and no dessert, but the tacos were delicious and I was very hungry. Not as good as the tacos I make, but these ones were free so…

Finally. Was that so hard?! Minus half a point because there was no cheesy saying on the board, but I would do anything for an apple fritter so I’m quite happy.

#unfortunately 8th grade is going to the high school for orientation this morning #so I won’t be able to get another one during my second period prep

*Yes, it’s teacher appreciation week. But a few years back someone got all butthurt and now we call it staff appreciation week.

#this is mostly a joke to be clear #but if you work in a profession that requires an appreciation WEEK then you better be getting appreciated!

Today I had a student say, “Do you want to get married someday?” I said, “I don’t know. Why? Should I get married someday?” And he goes, “Well, yeah. I think you would like having a … *long awkward pause* … marriage.”

Something I particularly love about some of my students is the conversation I had with two of them this afternoon. I was at work a little later than usual because I was going to go straight from work to take my car in for an oil change appointment. So these two girls wandered in and said, “Can you drive us to *town that’s like 35 minutes away*?” I said, “No. Why would I do that?” They said, “Because we need a ride.” They didn’t actually expect me to give them a ride, but I told them I obviously wasn’t going to and I had plans this afternoon anyways. One of them gasped and said, “Do you have a date?!” And the other one said, “Who’s the lucky lady?!”

And it just makes me so happy when they do that. Just today at lunch another teacher was commenting about how students are always pestering me about my love life, but this is why I let it slide. Because of kids like these two.

And it just makes me so happy when they do that. Just today at lunch another teacher was commenting about how students are always pestering me about my love life, but this is why I let it slide. Because of kids like these two.

I think I’m the favorite at work because when I had to ask my principal if he could find someone to cover my class for the last 15 minutes of the day so I could leave early for an appointment, he said, “Of course. I’ll figure something out. For you, we’ll make it work!”

#not my fault I could schedule an eye exam either 3:00 this afternoon or in 4 weeks!

My whole list with ratings out of 10 after my first listen. This was a painful process.

Here’s the rest. Give me a little while and I’m gonna make one list all together. These ones as a whole are definitely ranking lower than the first half.

I just finished my first listen of Tortured Poets Department at like 11:20 and was ready to do my rankings and read through my notes and look at my reaction videos and I FORGOT that she was probably going to do something unhinged at 11PM/2AM and now there’s FIFTEEN more songs?! Taylor I need to SLEEP!

Ok well here we are so far. This was excruciatingly difficult, but I gave each song a ranking out of 10 as I listened and that helped. I think I’ll be listening to the rest in the morning.
