Challenge Five - The Independence Ball

Welcome to Challenge Five! And Happy Illéan Independence Day!

((truly don’t know why we’re celebrating greg’s work- he’s trash but trash to trashed i guess. but let’s have some fun))

In this challenge Queen Edith will still be with us in the palace, and joining her will be her fiancé, Florian. Additionally, Princess Livia of Italy and her husband, Dante Marino will be in attendance as well.

the following is a sequence of events for the ball created by yours truly: brinna

Selected are escorted into a large dinner with other guests by a personal guard

the German and Italian royals are presented followed by the Illéan royals

once dinner is over, guests are moved into the grand ballroom where the theme is iridescent color

i.e. gauzy, colorful decorations hanging from the ceiling and windows, beautiful bouquets, colorful desserts and drinks, and little light catchers hung everywhere that catch the light and throw tiny rainbows around the room

a full orchestra that plays lively music, slow waltzes, and instrumentals of popular songs that younger people will recognize

dancing is the main event of the evening along with the extravagant finger foods and decorated gardens for guests to walk through (a door leading to the gardens is open)

at midnight, a special segment will commence where each guest is given a bag of colored powder they can throw up into the air

a FLURRY of color is strewn about the room at the stroke of midnight, coating almost every guest nicely

This challenge will not have any required RPs but there will be a required fic detailing what you do at the ball.
