New California Republic. Brotherhood of Steel. Caesar's Legion. The City of New Vegas. Long ago, the four nations lived in harmony—just kidding, all these guys have been trying to kill each other for ages. That didn't stop the Legion from attacking the Hoover Dam anyway. Only someone with allegiances to all four factions could stop the conflict, but that person never appeared. Five years passed, and a Courier was found outside of Goodsprings after being shot in the head. And although the Courier has the potential to join any faction, they have a long way to go before they're ready to stop a war. But I believe Courier Six can save the Mojave...and eventually, the world.
The “he would not fucking say that” to “he probably should be fucking saying that, and the writers would let him if they knew what they were fucking doing” pipeline
absolute biggest vindication and also irony is being a hardcore death-of-the-author-canon-is-what-you-make-of-it truther and then writing something and people being like "wow this is practically right out of canon!"
like you start to ask yourself if in the pursuit to discover a canon that resonated with you, you somehow unlocked a unique, better understanding of canon that brings you back to where you started. interacting with media is unreal.
tangentially there's nothing like the feeling of creating something and being like "this is going to be fucking fire" and then actually posting it and the first comment is like "wow, this is fucking fire!" and you're like yeah. you see. it was fucking fire, mom
biggest crucible of putting any creative product out there on the internet to see it agonizing over the details for far too long, finally getting the courage to hit post, and then the moment afterwards being like 'oh no i've totally overestimated the idea that anyone besides me will ever like this. i am a fool' and sitting in that feeling for far too long before realizing that AO3 takes a while to update or you've posted your meme at 3am when most of the people you know are asleep

i don’t know literally ANY famous people it’s starting to stress me out because people are always saying names to me like i should know the names. and i never do
i know it's probably already been done before in some form but i really want to write a story where a group of background characters/NPCs with 2 lines of dialogue band together to go after the main villain while the protagonist and their allies are still in the middle of the formative rising action
I'd title it The Inconsequentials and the tagline would be "Not mattering has never mattered so much."
sometimes life is miserable. sometimes you get a $31.24 payment wired to your paypal account from a class action lawsuit you forgot you signed up to be a part of. sometimes you have to treat yourself to an overpriced unsatisfying fast food delivery using that same $31.24 just to stay sane. capitalism takes and gives away in the same equal breath. sometimes you wonder if all of this is turning you into the joker, and you decide to think about being less miserable. every day is an eternal process.
