things i've learned this semester.

1. When you feel, speak. When you feel, speak. When you feel, speak.

2. It’s better to know where you stand than where anyone else does. Know yourself. Be okay saying things that make you vulnerable. Things work out and if they don’t, you were true to yourself.

3. Being true to yourself = the most important thing you can ever do to your mind, your soul, your body. People will come into your life and people will leave your life. Let ‘em go. Let it all go. It is okay to move forward from one part of your life (people included) to the next.

4. It’s okay to recalibrate. To take some time off, to understand who you are and what you’re doing and what you’re trying to achieve. Where you want to go, who you want to be with, what’s okay and what’s not okay.

5. You can change and no one has to give you grief about it.

6. Love is personal and relative and totally unbeknownst to a lot of people in the world. When you share it, give it wholeheartedly - forget if you don’t get it back! In many other, unknown ways, you will.

7. If the beautiful, silly things make you smile, you damn well better smile.

8. If you’re applying for jobs that will not make you happy, you will not be happy. Save yourself the trouble and find what you like, what you’re good at, and what you can be passionate about. I’ve been so blessed to find places I fit.

9. Never be shy to tell someone they look fantastic. Chances are you made their day and everyone in their day’s day.

10. Study even when (you think) it doesn’t matter (it does). So what if you’re majoring in business and taking theatre classes. Theatre is awesome. I love theatre. I talk to (complain to, whine about, cry to) people about theatre all the time.

11. God is everywhere. You may not know it but He knows it and you’ll come to find soon enough. You know that He’s watching and that you’re safe and that the world is spinning around you for a reason you’ll come to understand. Keep going.

I crave the most innocent parts of a relationship. Like holding hands and forehead kisses and being able to tell someone how much I absolutely adore them.

The pet owners dilemma

Please be patient with those who have anxiety

They say sorry a lot because they’re genuinely afraid they’ve insulted you somehow

They ask if they’re annoying because they genuinely think they’ve somehow annoyed you

They say things are ‘awkward’ because they can be uncomfortable in any situation, no matter who with, they don’t mean to personally hurt you

They cry because sometimes people and situations are too much, not because they’re looking for attention

They don’t text you a lot because they’re clingy, it’s because if you don’t reply, they think they’ve done something wrong

They can be set off by little things, so don’t say they’re overreacting when they panic

Please be patient with those who have anxiety

They only mean the best
