A few weeks ago the Club lost one of our own. Roy “BULLDOG” Welty was a longtime member and former President of the LBRGC in the 80’s. I had the pleasure of speaking with his daughter a little bit ago about Roy. She told me that he had retired to a retirement community in Apple Valley where he made tons of friends. Finding any excuse to get out of the house Roy enjoyed his time swimming, playing boccie ball, camping and going on road trips. You would almost always see him driving around in his golf cart (not playing a lick of golf). His five grandchildren were the world to him and he made it a point to hangout with them whenever he could.
