The bitterness clouding judgment of elizabth's decision is hilarious. Its not bad writing, its very consistent writing if you go back and see it from the lucas perspective. They actually have much more narative consistency and fluidity so its not at all a surprise they were written to end up together. Disagreeing with and not liking a writing decision doesn't make it bad writing. If you disagree, use NARRATIVE points to make an argument, not opinions

SO HAPPY! I think they bring out the best in each other and I agree that she was looking for Jack in Nathan. I'm wondering if Carson is coming back or not? Wondering is Henry is going to find his son...or Abigail...now I can rewatcj the season and enjoy it without all the anxiety. I called it!

I'm so disgusted with the writers. I feel fairly certain at this point that she will choose Nathan and it makes me sick. Not only have they not developed their friendship enough to even warrant a relationship, but it's unrealistic. She wouldn't marry another mountie after the loss she suffered. What was the point of all the depth of development with Lucas if you were going to do nothing with it? What was the point of the foreshadowing? If you were going to write her with Nathan why didn't you spend the last 3 years developing them instead? Shitty writing all around. Fuck hallmark.

Did anyone else NOT love this episode? It was literally molly running around chaotically and elizabeth being purposefully awkward with rosemary.....what was the point? There was no plot development. They could have skipped this episode allyogether and it wouldnt have made a bit of difference to the story arcs. When you only have 3 episodes left to wrap this up I'd expect much fuller writing

A new theory i have. What if nathan leaves hope valley?

When kevin was asked how he reacted when reading the finale script, he said "ha! Yeaaah saw that coming" was his reaction. Then we have reports of someone leaving the show. And another interview where when asked about what he would say to shippers of each team he said he hopes everyone see's that it really ends in the pest way possible for everyone. Then we have this ehole seemingly pointless storyline with bill's uniform and reminissing his Mountie days. He Also said he wasn't sure he'd be staying around after elizabeth rejected him.

So obviously if she chooses nathan he'll be around. But I also wouldn't be surprised if he was leaving the show

This tells me all I need to know about who's a better person

My thoughts based on some narrative points:

I think if she starts leaning towards Nathan in the next couple episodes then she'll flip back last minute to lucas. If she doesn't in the next couple episodes, then she'll flip to Nathan. This theory is based on their interviews (though i'm getting skeptical about them saying she goes this way, then that way, then back this way)

If she doesn't kiss lucas in any episode until the finale then I think she will choose lucas. This is being set up by the "wait until you're ready" comments. The frequency of them foreshadows that it will happen eventually, when she's ready. If she does before the finale, then I think that becomes resolved and it increases the likelyhood she'll choose Nathan.

The lack of resolution to the Elizabeth/nathan story tells me we aren't even at their climax yet. I just dont know if that comes before the choice or if that is the choice.

The "I just want you to be happy" and the grudge that Nathan is holding leads me to believe that, if choosing nathan, lucas would better cope with it. So they could be setting up for a triangle resolution with that comment.

Raise your hand if you're tired of the love triangle so you can just enjoy the show without stress?✋

I've noticed between here and youtube that people who like Nathan are much more vocal and play offense more than their lucas counterparts. And it makes me wonder if the audience is evenly split and capable of dealing if she doesn't pick their favorite...because there's a lot of childish things going on around this issue
