Jesus Christ was a brown Jew in the Middle East, conceived out of wedlock in an arguably interracial if not interspecies (deity and human) relationship, raised by his mother and stepfather in place of his absent father.  He may not have had a Y chromosome.  He spent his early youth as a refugee in Egypt, where his family no doubt survived initially on handouts from the wealthy (You think they kept that gold, frankincense, and myrrh from the wise men?  Hell no, they sold that stuff for food and lodging).  He later returned with his parents to their occupied homeland and lived in poverty.
The religion of Jesus’s people has no concept of a permanent hell and instructed its priests on how to induce miscarriages.  Jesus explicitly rejected the concept of disability as a divine punishment.  He spoke out against religious hypocrites.  He had enough respect for women to let his mother choose the time of his first miracle.  He blessed a same sex couple.  He told a rich man that he must give up his wealth to get to heaven, and also told a parable about a rich man suffering in agony in presumably Gehinnom (basically Purgatory) just to hammer the point home.  He told people to pay their taxes.  He declared “love your neighbor” to be one of the two commandments on which all laws hang.  He commanded his followers to help the poor.  He commanded them to help the sick and the needy.  He spent time with social outcasts.  He healed the servant of a high priest during his arrest rather than fighting back.  He was put to death by the occupying government because he was a political radical.
Trump and his administration are xenophobic, misogynistic, racist, fear-mongering, warmongering, tax-dodging, anti-Semitic, anti-choice, anti-welfare, anti-equal pay, anti-LGBTQIA+, anti-immigration, support tax cuts for the rich, support Citizen’s United, want to keep refugees out of this country, want to limit our ability to speak against the government, plan to abolish the Affordable Care Act, and they wrap all of that up behind a banner of “Christian family values.”  If you support them, you have no right to call yourself a follower of Christ.

‘TREAT EVERY GIRL LIKE SHE’S THE VIRGIN MARY’
Don’t tell your daughter that when a boy is mean or rude to her it’s because he has a crush on her. Don’t teach her that abuse is a sign of love.

Allow me to correct you, as I am sure both parties are to learn something from this occurrence. A sexual remark is never ok whether it is addressed to a band, a 14 years old kid, a dog or your partner. It is never ok to decide and project your own fantasies over someone who didn’t specifically ask for it. And that person can be very sweet, they still made an unnecessary comment about someone who didn’t ask for it.
Now to go to the extent of sending death threats, this is unacceptable too. First of all because it gives more importance to the topic and increases the risk that the said band sees all of that issue and feels even worse, secondly because death threats are horrendous and are in no way the right answer in any situation. As proven here, it only makes the external public dislike you and take side to the party you were fighting against. Death threats can wake old traumas and does not educate the person in any way. And this applies to both sides, as BTS received even more death threats after the ones sent to CupcaKKe were made public. So it was a huge and unforgivable move from the fandom to answer an issue with even a stronger one.
But to globalise the issue to the whole fandom and to include other issues in this is just as disastrous. We are not responsible for the acts of some of our cofans and although we try our best to educate the immature fans, you have to understand that as BTS’ reputation grows, it becomes harder for us to control the repercussions of the actions of some individuals. Those death threats were in no way targeted towards her for her skin colour. They were sent because those so called fans are immature, uneducated and don’t realise how stupid they are. The fandom is getting younger, more active and more reactive and nobody can do anything about it aside from trying to educate it when such issues appear so that it never happens again. But once again, the reverse happened from Elizabeth’s fandom and nobody other than the expeditors are to blame.
Finally, the fact that Kpop artists make racist moves, appropriate black culture and mocks it is in no way the fandom’s fault. Just like it is not CupcaKKe’s fandom’s fault if she made an uncomfortable comment. To say that the Kpop fandom is antiblack is wrong. We as a fandom have nothing against any race. The Korean Kpop fandom can, however, be racist, but once again it would be unjustified to blame it in the fandom but rather on the individuals responsible for those acts. The Kpop fandom is global and never had anything to do with race issues. We also feel ashamed for the acts of our artists when they blackface, use hairstyles from the African culture or use words they are not to use. A girl group has recently lost a large part of their international fandom because of a blackface episode. And in those instances we feel helpless as we have no possibility to teach them how wrong this was. No matter how hard we try, it is almost impossible for us to reach them and only their Korean fans could educate them. But as you said, racism among KPop mainly comes from the Korean culture.
What I am trying to say is that the vast majority of the Kpop fandom do have a problem with black culture appropriation and you should not see the continuous racist instances from artists as a proof that the fandom does nothing and supports it. Also, I would like to remind everyone that when an artist does a mistake, it is rarely their own fault but often comes from higher up as they are not the ones who put their shows to together. They have very few to say over their performances and outfits and although I strongly agree that they should speak up, they are not the only ones to blame.
Conclusion: Never sexualise anyone, death threats are the worse way you could deal with a problem and do not judge an artist by its fandom nor a fandom by its artist.
CupcaKKe is literally the sweetest person ever and the fact that she got bullied off of social media for making a sexual remark abt a BTS member, despite the fact that there are literally thousands of smut fanfics written by other fans, just proves how antiblack the Kpop fandom can be. Their stars can steal our hairstyles, our music, our concepts, and use the n-word without retribution, but once an actual Black person enters the space, they are endlessly harassed. I’m not trying to generalize all Kpop fans, but if you don’t have a problem with the way Black fans and Black culture are treated within the industry, please reflect on your ethics because you are apart of the problem too.

I just read that the Las Vegas shooting was the 273rd mass shooting in America THIS YEAR. As a Brit where guns are banned it is just shocking that there is not more uproar in the US over gun control. How can mentally ill people or anyone get access to weapons that have no other use but to cause mass casualties you will never need for self defence. How long will it take and how much more hurt does there have to be before actual regulations get put in place? It is just such a horrific thing to happen and so easily avoidable with sensible regulations.
