I've been roaming without much of a purpose, what says that of me?
No more than a gull with no fixed abode on earth prowling the skies.
Written by Tang dynasty poet Du Fu

Food I Have Eaten because of Saezuru
<pic 1> See Chapter 7: "If I drink this, the flavour will spread out over my tongue. Sweet and a little..."
<pic 2> Cup noodles that Yashiro knocked over in the flashback in Chapter 10.
<pic 3> See Chapter 22: "Does it taste good?" "I don’t really know."
<pic 4> Anpan that Doumeki bought for Kamiya in Chapter 40, because "I [Doumeki] just thought you [Kamiya] liked sweet things".

@lemeg: @saezurufeels Remarkable observation!! I also noticed that Yashiro used the same type of window in his new office.
---
Ooo, great observation yourself!! I had to go back and find the panels:
This adds to the symbolism of the last two volumes, and Saezuru as a whole. The idea of being trapped/caged is represented throughout with squared panelling, bars, tiles, stripes, etc.;
whether it's the window, ceiling, and railing in Yashiro's apartment:
or the bed frame, floor tiles, or blinds in Inami's room:
Here it's the bathroom tiles
Then it's the traditional panelling of Tsunakawa's walls
I could keep going, because this straight/angular pattern is literally everywhere, and not just in Yashiro's presence, but in Doumeki's as well. But what's most interesting is that when Yashiro and Doumeki finally meet again after 4 years, this pattern seems to break up a little. The markings on the bridge are curved, like running water or a breeze. Hmmmmm

《畫眉鳥》 ﹝宋﹞歐陽修
百囀千聲隨意移,山花紅紫樹高低。
始知鎖向金籠聽,不及林間自在啼。
Ouyang Xiu, “Thrush” (Song dynasty)
I heard the melodious chirping of thrushes, which floated freely among flowers and trees. I suddenly realized the song of a thrush trapped in a gilded cage was no match for that of a free thrush in the forest.
