very weird for people to get mad at scientists when they provide us better knowledge of how things are. they didn't change anything about it, it was always like that. they didn't change the color of neptune or glue feathers to dinosaurs, those had always been like that regardless of what we thought. the world exist independent of our perception of it. this isn't like a retcon of a fictional work.

really cool article about the FBI ignoring a neo nazi mass shooter who would eventually commit a mass shooting at a gay nightclub so they could focus on planting a pink haired cop in a protest movement and get her to introduce these protestors to some hilariously obvious undercover cops posing as arms dealers. the SOMEX parts of this are serious tho they are using social media to gather info on protestors and target them and fabricate charges and make their lives hell and it is causing the death of movements like this.

They'll feel bad about this in a few years. Someone will take a photo of a National Guard pig brutalizing a student and get a Pulitzer for it. They'll make a nice little memorial commemorating it. The next EDI hire president will be sure to thank the brave students of Columbia for their radical action years ago before sending in more pigs to deal with whatever is happening on campus then. They'll golf clap as whatever NGO leech who wants to claim credit for the encampment movement gets their next grant. All will be well.

Reading your last post on the state and private property, I wondered if you've read David Graeber and David Wengrow's The Dawn of Everything, and if yes, if you could share your thoughts on it. Tanks!
I have not, however I've read "Debt: The First 5000 Years" by David Graber, and while him and I obviously don't see eye-to-eye on our conclusions, (he's an anarchist and I'm a marxist) he seems like a smart fellow who takes his research seriously. I'll be interested to give "The Dawn Of Everything" a read.
