Kyrie rocked Luca in her arms who was out like a light the moment she got him fed, of course to many it was a miracle that he survive but he was fight like Nero. While she had made Evie her little breakfast, she paused for a moment when she heard the door open and beamed at the sight of Nero. “Welcome home, Nero.” She smiled at him, letting Evie tackle him first since that it the first thing that always have to happen.

Especially that Evie was already big.

Vergil wasn’t normally one that would give into letting the kids sleep in the same bed as him. Especially when they had their own rooms. But it had been a rough week. A close call. He had to move the kids to a more secure place, which ended up much smaller than their original place.

Being a light sleeper, Vergil noticed the sound of crying and opened his eyes. He looked at the two kids and saw that it was Kyrie’s shoulders shaking. She was facing Nero, being between the two out of comfort and protection. But his son seemed to have been completely passed out. Then again who could blame him since he was finally getting over his wave of sickness.

He put a fatherly hand on her upper arm and used a soft tone so as to not wake up Nero, “Are you alright, child?”

Kyrie couldn’t sleep, not with her missing her family and the nightmares of their deaths. She haven’t forget the time the demons find her family, her father shouted for Nero’s dad to take his children before she saw him died in front of him. In the hands of Mundus, not only that her brother was missing and presuming dead but she didn’t want to believe it.

She know her brother must be out there, like her, he was an angel but no doubt a fallen after what happen.

She tried to sleep but the nightmare happen again that made her wake up eyes wide open and shaking. Silently sobbing as she curled up in a ball, she tense when she felt a hand on her upper arm and Mr. Vergil whispered to her. “...I had a nightmare...” She croak, voice groggy from crying.

Nero didn’t hear her at first, the voices too loud for him to hear anything. His back was to the door as he was hunched over with his hands still on his head. He sobbed in pain, making his whole body shake. But once he felt the touch on his back, he spun around with a startled growl. His eyes were glowing blue when he looked at who it was, which went away when he realized who it was.

“Kyrie…,” he whispered through gritted teeth. The voices had gone but the ache in his head was still there. His eyes were watery from the threat of tears. He looked away, quickly trying to dry them. “N-Nothing…”

Who was he kidding? She was going to find out eventually. She always did. 

“Actually…everything… Everything is wrong…”

She didn’t lie when she did get startled and jump at the sight of his eyes and the growled, but when he saw it was her she soften only her heart breaks at the sight of him. The tears that was ready to fall and his voice alone mix with the signs he was in pain made her reach and held him in her arms. Even if it was a embrace, but she tried to show him at least that he was safe with her.

Always.

“It’s okay, I’m here...I’m here, Nero.” She whispered, rubbed his back to helped at least ground him.

Nero was going insane. His head was spinning from confusion and frustration. Even trying to distract himself didn’t help. The only thing he could do was sit somewhere with a lot of noise to block them out. The voices. They were loud this time around. But he couldn’t figure out what was being said or what they wanted. And not wanting anyone else to worry, he had shut himself in his room for the whole day, not even coming out to eat.

All was silent until his anger welled up inside for too long released in a blaze of him knocking everything off any surface he had. He even punched the wall. All while he was growling loudly and shouted profanities.

“Get out of my fucking head!!” he shouted when he paused his destruction and gripped his head.

Scared of how long he had shut himself in his room, Kyrie know something was extremely wrong. She couldn’t stand not able to help him, let alone not him eating. She stood outside his door for a moment, knocked once to see it was okay.  It was silent for a bit before she heard him the wall being punch and him shouting, that’s when she open the door to see him in such a state. “Nero?!” She called out to him with her voice loud a bit for him to hear, before she move close to him. Carefully not pushing his boundaries, she reach out to touch him before look at him with a scared look. “Nero, what’s wrong?”
