A smile, the feeling of a smile.
The feeling of lightness to your breath and openness to your chest.
The ground is cool and solid.
The earth spins, the world spins, your world spins, your thoughts spin, your emotions spin. But the ground is still. The ground is unshifting. The ground is slow.
Water creeps through and earthworms burrow in the densley packed darkness. Cool and dark. So it feels so it is. Inside and out. In and out the same. What you see is what you get. Consistency. Nothing unexpected.
Just cool dark dirt, falling through your fingers like fine grit. Falling like sands of time. Slow, slowed down to each inhale, each exhale, measured in grains. Measures in the beats of a butterflies wings.
As you move through the earth your thoughts wrapping gently around each root. Tracing the lines of life. The lines that anchor, so strong and yet so fragile. Great depths achieved, the ground grasped tightly in a fist of delicate fingers.
Each patiently herding grains of dirt from side to side as they journey. Observe and journey. Wait. Patiently waiting for the time to move, to creep past and continue until the next hurdle. Do they reflect on each hurdle past? Of the larger purpose achieved by each individual tendril?
Mountains are sheperd by the trees that graze on them. Worn like a warm winter coat. Or melting like the sticks of candles off of cake icing. Solid to liquid and liquid to solid. A matter of time, a matter of heat.
Energy dances. It dances from my taste buds to my mind. It dances up my nose. It pricks my cheeks with each toothy grin. I feel it pulsing around my body and down, down into the earth. Where it slows and cools, just as alive, just as bright and curious, but seeming older, wiser, measured. Patient. Patient to flow where required, and trust.

I swallowed a ball of yarn,
Chewing knots into each length,
It fills up my gaps.
When I grit my furry smile
I feel the knots get tighter.
