Ornate Tiling - Patch Content Expanded

Patch content can be a nice surprise, and the pre-RoM patch was one of those. Not only was a gorgeous brick added, but a lovely half-tile wall. I don’t tend to use those that much and prefer full tile walls, so i decided to take the design and turn it into a matching floor and full tile wall. There are 6 styles of tile used so these will match those included with the patch to give you a bit more usability.

Sims 4 - Académie des Arts Obscurs for Glimmerbrook & the Magic Realm

Many thanks to the EA Game Changers program for the early access!

When I first launched the game to play with Realm of Magic, I was so impatient to test the gameplay… until I saw the lot in the Magic Realm. Then, I knew I had to do something!

The lot size was a bit too small to create a big magic school like Hogwarts, so I decided to do something smaller, and perfectly usable in game. And I also wanted to be able to live there, so I started my build on the biggest lot of Glimmerbrook, and then redo the landscaping for the Magic Realm version.

And after two and a half days of work, here is the result!

I hope you will have as much fun exploring it as I enjoyed building it! I couldn’t show everything in the screens, so don’t hesitate to download the lot and have a look at it. You can use both versions, imagine that the school exist between two worlds, both in Glimmerbrook and in the Magic Realm!

You may have to use the cheat bb.enablefreebuild to enable the buy/build mode in the Magic Realm, to edit and replace the lot.

There is a issue with the columns height since the patch. If they are to tall when you install the build, change the wall height and undo the change, it should correct the bug.

If you don’t want all the sims to dance when visiting the lot in the Magic World, change the radio station to Classic music.

The dueling ground at the back is functional, there is enough space to fight! Ask your sims to go there before their duel.

All the plants needed for the potions are in the small greenhouse, or in the garden.

Info : Residential, 30x40 for Glimmerbrook, and 40x50 for the Magic Realm. 6 bedrooms (9 beds) and 4 bathrooms.

Playtested as usual, without CC, use bb.moveobjects on before placing the lot.

And as a bonus, I also (heavily) edited the three Sages !

Don’t go in Live Mode with them (otherwise, they will lose their jobs), install them on a empty lot then evict them immediately.  They will appear in the Manage Households window, move them in the Other Households tab. And don’t forget to delete the old ones (the Ember, Faba and Silversweater households), so the game will use these one instead.

I really feel they put a lot of work into the trails of Glimmerbrook. I found so many great angles for pictures and the lead-up to the portal is just breath-taking. Haven’t seen this much work done on world landscaping in a while.

My first house didn’t really use any of the main build mode content. It is definitely Art Nouveau which is out of my comfort zone, but I would say I managed to to create a very pleasing estate with lots of swooping curves.

Дом Калленов из фильма «Сумерки». Для строительства особняка, специально пересмотрела фильмы и выяснилось, что почти в каждой части саги у дома меняется интерьер. Дом вышел просторным и светлым. Построила я его в Форготн Холлоу на участке 30Х30

The Cullen house or the Twilight house sports a dreamy look with glass doors and excellent forest views. The credit of the design goes to architect Jeff Kovel from Skylab Architecture and interior designer Lucy Metcalf. (which is actually called Hoke’s House)

XAVI BY QWERTYSIMS

How do you pronouce this? Zay-Vee? Ex-Ay-Vee? Anyway here’s another mesh edit. Inspired by the middle part thing that all them K-Pop boys do and named after Xavier, the sim in the preview pic! Wait what does that do?? The plumbob thing??

OMG GIRL. this is life changing if you didn’t know about it before. it turns off the plumbob and club things. it’s much better than ‘headlineeffects off’ cause it doesn’t turn off things like being able to hover and see the sims name and w/e. just go into the sims 4/game/bin and open default.ini and change the last things (where i circled) to 0.00 and save.
