Frat boy Steve who wakes up after every party with his mouth tasting like everclear and gummy bears in his rival frat President's bed. Every time, without fail, with Billy's arms wrapped around him, wearing Billy's frat t-shirt and nothing else. Apparently they don't fuck, it's just the alcohol, and that's his excuse.

Of course, that means he has no excuse for when they start hooking up stone cold sober in the library bathroom at 4pm every Wednesday after English 108.

Don’t get me wrong, I love a drawn out angst fest with nuances and character growth lol, but sometimes I just want a fic where they lock eyes at Tina’s Party and that’s a wrap. They choose each other and couldn’t give two shits about anything or anybody else. If they fight, it’s over who chose who, or who fucks the hardest. You know? Sure their homes are a mess and the town needs saving again, but fuck if they care. They fell asleep in the back of Billy’s Camaro last night and forgot to recharge the walkie. Whoops. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Steve’s bags are packed, Billy’s got an axe and as soon as they bury this next demo-whatever, they’re hitting the road and never looking back. If they like you they’ll send a postcard.

Billy suddenly flies across the room and lands hard on the floor while Hagan ..

He stands tall, taller than Steve has ever seen him standing, there's an evil glint in his eyes and his hands - oh fucking hell, no .. the skin on his hands and all up his arms is a curling pattern of black veins.

"Guess you are not the strongest one now, Hargrove."

Part of Tommy I miss you

Harringrove and tommy, where Tommy has had a crush on steve since forever, and then when billy rolls into Hawkins, crushes on him as well, but never acts on either, cause he's so obviously not a fag. Still, he's jealous out of his mind, especially when he finds out that these two have been secretly fucking, and maybe it's even more than fucking, Steve doesn't share any information with his best friend on that matter (it's definitely more than just sex). Hagan's also canonically dating carol. So Tommy's just a whirlpool of fucked up feelings, until on top of it - he gets flayed and becomes the Mindflayer's right hand and confidant.

Whenever rain pours in Hawkins - which is pretty often given the right season - Steve goes outside. He doesn't take an umbrella with, doesn't put a raincoat on.

Together with rain, his tears flow easier. No-one will see them, no-one will wonder.

He roams the wet sad woods looking for a portal, for a clue, for anything to pour his hope into - that billy is still somewhere out there waiting for the right moment to come back to the world of the living.

Steve wants his boyfriend to see that he is here - right here to help him find his way back. If only there was a portal he knew about. If only Eleven hadn't lost all her powers. If only billy would give him a sign.

He's crying not of sorrow now. Those tears - shed in rivers - are gone. He's only crying because he misses his lover.

Why aren't his tears rueful anymore? Because Steve is in on a little secret which he uncovered one dark windy night when he came to Hawkins graveyard with a spade and a heart full of determination.

He knows that the casket where his boyfriend's body is supposed to rest in peace - the casket is empty. Billy is gone, and he is not only

Gone but not forgotten

No, he is out there, alive.

Steve merely needs a clue.

Was this all a big excuse to draw them in a more fantasy setting? Yes, yes it was. Sue me. I honestly just decided to try and have fun with it and I did; there is still stuff that I will like to change? Yes. But I also like this piece a lot and that's the most important thing.

The first idea was to make it more gorey and stuff (as in, Billy with his chest open etc). Didn't end up doing it and went more on a "symbolic" route but who knows, maybe in the future 🤔

"Fun" fact: the dragon is supposed to be the Mind Flayer. I tried to make it more like similar to the series but that giant jelly thing was giving me an headache because I couldn't understand how the fuck it was made so, DRAGON (still Mindy and Flayer tho). Also tried and wanted to make Steve cry gold (cuz, the tears are worth their weight in gold kinda stuff) but I don't think I managed (so this is way I'm writing it here lololol).

ANYWAYS, thanks for not falling asleep after reading all of this and please, get your arses ready because the next work that's going on in an hour comes from the fantastic @kaizenkhaos ✨✨ so up up everybody and go and show them all your love 🫡💖✨✨
