I’ll Be Back | Jasper Hale x Reader

Request: Hello, you could make a Jasper Hale x reader. In that the reader is part of the Volturi guard, she is his soul mate. The ending you can choose sorry for my bad English 😂

A/N: ooo this request is fun :) also your English is not bad at all! 

You had never met the Cullens personally but they had been stirring up some trouble for the Volturi lately. The Volturi had taken you in a couple of years ago after you ran into Jane and Alec, your friends from hundreds of years ago who had no idea you were turned into a vampire. Now you were apart of Aro’s little elite guard force due to your powers to manipulate reality, able to bend a person into seeing a false reality, to be cursed with visions of their worst fears.

It was a dark gift and in all honesty you hated using it, but you didn’t tell anyone that. 

The guards were paying the Cullens a visit to make sure that Edward’s soulmate had been turned like promised and because we caught wind of a fight between their coven and another ancient vampire.

As you emerged from the woods you found that they were already expecting you. You’ve heard a lot about the diverse powers their coven possessed so it was no surprise that they already knew of your arrival.

“Impressive. I’ve never seen a coven escape an attack of this magnitude intact.” Jane said although her voice was flat and bored, something you were already used to.

“We were lucky.” Their leader spoke, eyeing you suspiciously. You didn’t blame them, they have never seen you before up until now.

“I doubt that.” Jane’s doubt hung in the air as I raised my chin up and scanned the area for anything out of place, eyes landing on a small newborn cowering behind a tall blonde man. 

You made eye contact with the blonde and your eyes widened, a feeling of shock and warmth smacking you in the chest. You felt breathless and you could tell that he was shocked too, his eyes wide as he took a step towards you.

“It appears we’ve missed an entertaining fight.” Alec said slyly, eyeing the coven who stood on guard. 

This causes Jane to hum falsely, “it’s not often we’re rendered unnecessary.”

You don’t take your eyes off the blonde until you snap back into reality, seeing him defensively move towards the girl.

“We’ve offered her asylum in exchange for her surrender.” The leader said, you could see the coven growing nervous, clearly not here to make sure that they were okay. It was no secret that the Volturi liked to stir up trouble once in a while. 

“That wasn’t yours to offer..why did you come?” Jane yelled, staring darkly at the young girl. When she didn’t answer, Jane didn’t hesitate to use her powers on her. The girl dropped to the ground screaming in agony. 

“Jane don’t..” You start, but she ignores you.

“Who created you?”

“You don’t need to do that.. she’ll tell you anything you want to know.” 

You scoff quietly knowing that it wouldn’t matter because Jane will still want the newborn dead. Taking your eyes off the woman you decide to observe the blonde man again, smiling when you make eye contact. 

The boy seems taken back by your warm smile, not expecting anyone from the Volturi to actually show any signs of compassion. 

‘Soulmate.’ 

It hadn’t clicked before but now it made sense; no one from the Volturi had drawn your attention this quickly and it also made sense as to why you were ready to kiss the ground he was standing on. 

You only break your gaze when Felix walks by you, tapping your shoulder in a friendly gesture. Furrowing your eyebrows you watch as he weaves his way through the coven and towards the young girl who was looking up at the giant man in fear. In a split second Felix is dragging her up from the grass, grabbing her frail frame and tearing her into two. 

Cringing, you try to look at anything except for the grisly sight, making eye contact with Edward who was staring at you with eyes as wide as saucers, looking between you and your soulmate. 

Standing rigidly, you waited for Edward or the blonde to say anything but before they could approach you, Jane is tugging your arm lightly.

“Let’s go Y/N.” 

Nodding sadly, you look at Edward, realizing he was a mind reader and that was one of the reasons as to why Aro was so drawn to the coven.

‘I’ll be back.’

When he nods in understanding, you take one last glimpse at the blonde boy before you follow Jane back into the woods. The swooshing of the air running by your ears, distracting you from the tug in your heart telling you to go back. 

‘I’ll definitely be back.’
