Musical Touken Ranbu Spring 2023 has a name

We finally have a name for the new stage

花影ゆれる砥水

Hanakage yureru tomizu

I don't have the knowledgeto translate the title but the name of the humans have been revealed :

Mitsuru will be playing Honami Kotoku. In history he is known to be a sword appraiser/inscriptor/ polisher from a pretty well known familly that appraised or inscribed many of our boys

Yasuto Kosuda will be playing toyotomi hideyoshi

and our dear ex-ensemble will be playing a character named Kage

So for now our best and most credible theme is going to be around the worth of a sword !

2023's Bigミュージカル『刀剣乱舞』 Ticket War Part 2 : Yeah for me but me only

As promised, i come back.

The first results are out and it's good for me i hit once, unlike a dozen other people i know trying too.

For the people around in the same situation the second lottery is over, it was the CD bonus code.

a reasonable fan (read whale) can spend a lot of money, such as this example of someone selling 17 space cds they preordered to get the codes...

the chances to get any luck on that lottery is very small.

alsmost as small today march 22nd the Fan Club lottery start, we will have very few seat for each website but it's not the most original let me give you the list and links :

and the big surprise is no FC lottery for kohei that doesn't have a personnal FC but for the first time we get a human's and ensemble one :

the human actor is sugiyama ryoji and he deserves his name to be known since he has been in the dance ensemble since the original mihotose and not only because he gave us that glory :

now even if very few tickets will be available for each FC since there are less know DC for the lottery, i'd bet the numbers or the last one will mean there is more chances to hit on that one.

Other usefull information : if you try for tickets avoid trying for the first day and last day that will have more people desiring to attend

since everyone wants S seats try A seats if you really want to go no matter what and most importantly no one i know only enters once, they have multiple accounts, all of them !

2023's Bigミュージカル『刀剣乱舞』 Ticket War Part 1 : Why it's harder to get tickets

Story time no one cares about

Back in 2018 i had the chance to watch toumyu live in paris. 5years later i am trying to go to tokyo see toumyu again and i'm bringing you with me on the quest to get tickets !

In order to avoid creating messes of taylor swift proportions or worse every stage that has more demand than tickets available for sure you have to enter a lottery to have the right to buy one or 2 tickets.

And then you remember you are not in japan.

Up until now, very understandable and quite clever but japan has to be japan. You have rules and prerequisites that keep foreigners out.

For every account creation , you will have to enter a japanese real adress :

-> you totally can use your tenso adress for that (it's a japanese PO box/shipping service)

You will have to fill a phone number. it needs to be japanese issued number starting 070, 080 or 090. In order to recieve the activation code via SMS you will need to have a real one.

->The easiest service for forgeigners in japan is mobal but the sim card works only in japan. If you're like you will need a friend in japan to lend you their phone number and tell you the sms they recieve whitin the proper timeframe.

for a lawson account you have to fill in in order :

your name then name again in katakana

your postal code

your prefecture and adress

phone number

gender

date of birth

And Because you are here as a fan you will pay if you really want a chance at getting tickets. There are a bunch of lotteries, first for the different premium fanclubs and then whatever remains get to the general sale or lottery.

For toumyu we will have a maximum of 7 fanclub lotteries a premium lottery and the general sale

Fanclub Lottery list :

the first fanclub lottery and the only done over is the Official site Premium Fanclub lottery that accepted entries from 2/28 12:00 to 3/6 23:59

the next one will be the pre-order bonus for the Soundtrack album of Toumyu's Kosui. The cd will contain a code and a link to the lottery site for application.

the lottery will accept entries from march 14th to 19th.

We can expect actor's fanclub to start lotteries from the 22nd of march to around the 28th like the one that has already been announced for naoki kunishima's upcoming fanclub

i will keep this tumblr updated when we will have more fanclub announces

and finally the elusive internationnal lottery, that i wished was more frequent

Notable warnings

As usual no fanclub is free, generally around 500yen a month it can be higher or require to get a yearly subcription in order to be able to enter.

most fanclubs accept foreign cards no problem.

the official rules prevent fans to get several accounts on every paying service to try to get tickets but there are a lot of multi account users out there

"General" Lottery list :

The general lottery also called Lawson ticket pre-request lottery is the last one, the only free of charge to enter

accepting entires from 2023/3/31 12:00 to the 4/4 23:59

On the same site just before there will be an LEncore advance lottery for paying members of that service

Accepting entries from 2023/3/28 12:00 to 3/30 23:59

And then if you have the luck to get through this you have the paying problem !

but to pay on lawson tickets you will have only 2 options :

the Jp credit card that is very hard to obtain

or paying in the conbini.

i will do a complete conbini payment guide later but in summary you have to send someone, in japan, pay in the family mart within 3 to 5 days of selection !

born july 31st 2000 (22, this year’s baby) waku doesn't have a lot of roles behind him. more info about him on the 100questions quizz

He played mercutio in Romeo&Juliet this year with masaki nakao and Ryoga ishikawa.

the most notable drama role of his is in donburi iinchou, as a very small role but it gave us this video with the femael lead of the drama

Musical Touken Ranbu Ichigo Hitofuri : 國島直希 Kunishima Naoki

the one and only toushirou older brother will be played by Naoki Kunishima born AUG 1 94 (28)

A very busy boy on stage since 2014, most well known for his role as Zyuoh the world in Doubutsu Sentai Zyuohger. 

For 2.5D he was in identity V stages as Shiro Mujo (see image below),

Starry Sky on Stage season 1 and 2

Kuro to Shiro Purgatorium for the most ,notable stages and not in 2.5 the very nice series of stages 戦国送球〜バトルボールズ〜 sengoku handball

he now has quite a deeper voice than what i remember from back in 2016, i expect him to have quite an effect as the blue haired boyscout

and he will finally open an official fanclub on the 14th of march and host a lottery :

Musical TouKen Ranbu : Onimaru 林 光哲 Hayashi Mitsuaki

Now we reach the first 100% unknown one in this cast , he is 32(7 oct 1990), from wikipedia i can read he started his career as 左 光哲, Hidari Mitsuaki

there isn't a lot to find on his carrer : a small role of nakashima in kamen rider amazon s2 ep 5 and 6 and as a member of ryuji’s team in HiGH&LOW THE WORST EPISODE.O

Fun note :  his twitter jumped from  under 300 to 5500 and he had to change his twitter handle because it was the default one still and he has a cute cat named myu

and since onimaru hasn't been on stage or in anime i don't really know what to expect with him so i'll be waiting and whatching but i don't expect to have him as a chatty character !

Musical Touken Ranbu Heshikiri Hasebe 木原瑠生 Kihara Rui

The honmaru's resident sharp tongue and dutyfull helper, is coming to toumyu.

He will be played by another quite well known actor with singing carreer Kihara Rui 9/15/98 (24)

He started as part of Gekidan banchou boys, in 3 fo their groups 

銀河団 from 劇団番町ボーイズ☆ : gingadan from banchouboys

Love Harmony's, Inc. :  a vocal unit that specialise in anime opening songs

and he is part of the Unit Night Ravens that sing the opening song of Twisted Wonderland

And for his acting carreer he is most known for landing in 2020, the role of Tametomo Imizu/Kiramai Yellow in "Super sentai Mashin Sentai Kiramager"

Musical Touken Ranbu Spring 2023 : 山姥切長義 Yamanbagiri chougi

Our original yamanbagiri is played by none other than Mizue Kenta (水江建太) Born : Nov 2 95(27)

Do i need to introduce the artist ?

More seriously since he is popular i don’t think i need to explain a lot, i just need to tell you were to go see him :

He is maybe the leader of the best team(winter has some arguments though) of Mankai Stage A3! as banri

also in hypsute as JYUTO IRUMA,

and in the very good (but warning on some subjects of the stage) Banana Fish stages

He will attract a ton of fans, not only because of his visuals and voice but because chougi is very popular.
