HPE drop... no buys this time.

This drop was hard because there wasn't many previews or info on what firmness certain pours were and the items I was interested in were off by size or the fact that there weren't any pairs and it made my brain glitch.

This was a winner and boy did it go fast!

Like, if they did a small Scylla with this pour? i would have tried to grabbed it. hell, i still wish I had gotten it. this was stunning! they only did a few items with it and ughhhhh... by the time I realized I couldn't get a set, it was already gone.

These were my next wants, but Scylla was only in medium and large, so I had to double think if I really wanted to go larger than a small...

... alas, by the time I refreshed the page, both the medium and large gone.

Then this demon Ymir, and I kid you not, had they also done it in a small, I would have gotten both. Hell, I probably would have fucked up and got a medium too! Ymir in demonic red looks INSANE!

I just... don't do well with not much information to work with and I end up all over the place like a chicken with it's head chopped off. i couldn't find a pair, couldn't find the right size, needed time to evaluate if I could go with a larger size... and by that time, everything was gone.

There's always next month. I'm hoping for a specific pour to make a return and I'm hoping *hoping hoping hoping* they'll ask for request so I can slip in the model and size and firmness I'd want.

There's another drop tomorrow and I'm dreading it (hur hur hur) because I'm more in the dark about that drop than I was about this one. So far it looks like the pour I was interested in isn't in my preferred firmness so I may be safe for another drop cycle.

Did I want to be safe? i mean... i would have liked some new toys, tbh, but I gotta look on the bright side

There's, like, 2 shops that will be doing drops soon and to say I'm anxious about both is an understatement.

i really don't enjoy drops in general. i also get itchy when there's not a lot of information or previews on what to expect.

"what firmness is the coloration you showed? what size is the model pictured? do you have x model in this pour? do you have x size of x model in this pour?"

and one shop specifically doesn't answer questions on posts... my brain needs information it's not gonna get.

MadeToWere order has come in and it has my heart. 🖤🤍 Between these and my fire crotch Zayns, they always seem to blow the inspiration photos out of the park.

These were the references:

The whisps... the shimmer... that dark inky tip...

I couldn't ask for more. Plus, I love how they added that blue shimmer (that I can't take a good photo of, but holy crap is it shimmery!)

Throgul is a thick, pierced Orc inspired dong. Him's a short, girthy boy! I have solidified my love of foreskin models. I love the piercing placements as well as the armour around the base. Those whisps going down the shaft have me weak.

Then we have Dinhar, a feline (lion) centaur model. Another thick boy who is also short, at least compared to my other equine models.

Such a cutie patootie! It's my thickest equine model and my only soft firmness one, as the other 2 are super soft. i am pretty excited about how close to the tip the medial ring is.

I am beyond stoked with these models and pours! They're stunning in person and I wish I could get some pretty outdoor pictures to highlight that shimmer because my indoor photos make it look flat.

Pour inspiration for the last shop request where they asked for more summer drink colors and I... instead asked for dark and moody 😬...

I admit, I'm not a summer type person. Firstly because my body is a bitch and everything summer related gives me issues (winter, too, depending on where I'm located. Summer is just harder to acclimate). sun too bright, migraines. temp too hot, heat rashes. I need cool darkness... especially right now. I have been itching for darker pours in general, but mostly seeing things that are super cute and bright, which makes sense, given the season. lots of hand painting, which I love, and inclusions!!! So many cute inclusions!!! Fuck my sensitivity to Near Clear!!!

Shops have been giving it to the people as far as these types of pours and I love that for everyone. I kind of wish i could do a little cute collection, but I haven't seen anything i had to have, though I am partial to the lemonade pours.

Anyway, Madetowere is the GOAT for me as far as taking a picture (or 4!) and making it a work of art. They did the last time with my loved lava Zayns and also with a color combo I gave over a year ago that got snatched up so quickly, I didn't have time to grab...

Y'all, that was not gonna happen this time.

My grabs. Small Dinhar and small Throgul. Requested model, size, and firmness. I asked for either soft or super soft and they did soft which is fine as I'm pretty ok with either and I think it might be good given the small bits of texture in both. They're both still on the thicker side for me, but imma make it do what it do. 🤣

My pour buddy (who i am most lovingly referring to another collector as, who also loves this style) was also able to get the matching inky Zayn and a reverse pour MTW did in their requested size. I think we both wanted that small black tipped Dinhar, but they got the medium white tipped instead. I'm just glad MTW didn't pour either the single or double shafted Crowley in this one or else I'd be in trouble.

i also need to talk about how drops are just not good for me at all and the amount of anxiety I get is just... unnecessary. I already don't sleep and my eating habits are shit, but the closer it gets to a drop day and there's something specific I really want, sleeping and eating go out the window.

shits not healthy. i generally stay away from things like this. I don't enjoy auctions or revved up quick buys... I worked retail at the peak of Black Friday madness and still have PTSD over being yelled at and assaulted over items that have probably since been long forgotten. This type of thing just isn't... my thing. I think I have maybe one more in me and then that's it.

and honestly, if I didn't get them, I'm pretty sure I could have done a custom, which should be offered later in the month, but these where just the perfect mix of inky dipped tips and the little smoky whisps and shimmer. a most perfect blend of the 4 photos and even more than what I had in mind.

I can't wait for my new babies to make it home. I'm super excited about these models as I've just recently started reading more Orc and Minotaur romances and loving it. Also just finished the first book of a dragon shifter series and I'm like... do I even have a dragon dong?

... apparently I do, but I kinda also want another. 😂

I... don't think I've ever talked about how deep the theme of my collection goes. Mostly because it's hard to explain, maybe because it's a little weird, but it has a lot to do with characters, pour matches, and color themes (demons, coffee, ghosts, colorshift tentacles...)

This is a good example of being interested in a toy, (in this case, OwOToyz Freyr) needing it to color match another toy, (the attempt was to match the color and pour style of my Valor) and having it match a theme (pink tip to dark base) and also a character...

The character is Gothicorn and I may be slightly obsessed.

There's also this photo that's been making me obsess over dark tipped models and... yeah.

The dark tip might be a reality soon. Super excited and hopeful that the next drop of a shop will bring me some inky models, my first pierced model, and an equine/feline hybrid that is short enough in length that I can reach the medial ring.

Here's hoping.

I have way more fun doing this than I should...

I am excited that my pour inspo was recently done by one of my favorite shops. also anxiety ridden that they will get snatched up before I can grab them both (because matching set...) also hoping that because of my specs, they're not. (yay for smaller sizes, I guess 🤷🏽‍♀️). also feeling some kind of way about my specs in general.

Another shop did 2 really cute pours, but didn't include the smaller sizes in either one. they did pour a small size in another pour, but it doesn't spark joy, and it's also medium firmness. Their small is still on the large end for me, so I can't really do medium. 😭

Then a bunch of pours I really like, but they're all NC. 😭

at this point, I should be thankful that I'm knowledgeable about what I like and what my body can work with, but I'm also just a teeny bit discouraged about how... picky I am?

alas... money stays in my pockets. my collection stays small. i stay happy with what I have and try not to get discouraged about what I dont.

there's genuinely bigger things in life to worry about. my brain is just a noodle and it's currently soaking up the dong juice.

The time has come and gone, but sadly, I didn't get anything this HPE drop.

So many pretty, pretty pours, but nothing is scratching the dragon brain itch. I loved Fabergé Egg pours so much, but either it wasn't the right model or size or i wasn't vibing with it.

I even passed up on eggies.

Besides Xenocat's Nabbergnats, Hodge Podges eggies are the only squish I really have to keep myself from grabbing. (reason being that if I open the squish floodgates, I'm gonna drown. no question about it.)

it's ok, though! I'm still on the hunt for the perfect Scylla and I guess now i can focus on the other store I'm really wanting 2 models from.

Squish does an amazing job and I hope they have a great drop and that everyone gets whatever it is their heart desires. So many feel good vibes with these colors!!!

i wanted this one to work so bad, but the size was too big and firmness too soft.

Then these together?!! (I have a small, medium firmness in both. I was so tempted to just get a softer size up since they're both soft.)

There was this one as well. I'm not exactly sure why I don't go for it, tbh... it's so sparkly.

This color shift was beautiful, but it's near clear, medium.

And this one was near clear as well, but ugh, that beautiful orange and shimmer! 🧡🧡

This stunning baby was medium firmness, but ugh... a beauty!!!

Oh well. sometimes things don't work out, but it just wasn't meant to be this round. I loved seeing so many Fabergé eggs and I'm pretty sure a lot of people were as well.

Now that I've had some more time to sit with it, I do like the whisps... I like that it's concentrated under the medial ring. i like the feathering, especially up close and with good lighting (which I don't have access to much so I didn't get a good look last night). i like the dip in the back around the lower bulge.

I still don't like the front and that hard line, but I'll get over it 😂. it's not all that bad. I will say, after doing a good 360, the only part I'm not thrilled about is the front, and I actually do like the other sides.

Also... supersoft was a very good choice. i could see someone who likes more texture really digging medium (couldn't be me) and I think I would have liked soft as well, but SuperSoft, for my body and preferences, is just... chef's kiss. I am definitely a super soft bebe.

Freyr from OwOToyz came in and... hm... honest opinion (screaming into the void)

it's not love at first sight, sadly. I'm kinda iffy on the fade and that it's more whispy and has a hard line and not marbled. I asked if they could do a marble fade like my Valor and sent photos and they said they could.

I don't even think it's the fact that it's more whispy than it has a definitive line in both the front and back of they toy that reminds me too much of a split, which I don't care for. i cover the split or turn it to the side with more fade, and I'm good.

they didn't send a preview photo like they did the last time, which I was kind of excited for. I was hoping I would be able to see it before hand, but I got a notification that the label was created after a week and was like... oh shit. it's on its way? then 2 days later, I got the package. the tracking number still says label created, not that it's been picked up or shipped or delivered.

Now that that's out the way, I freaking love the sculpt. it's so detailed. the veining and ripples of muscle? the tip? the medial ring? gorgeous.

I got super soft this time around. I figured I love my Kitalpha in SuperSoft, and my Ss Gherkin is a surprise fave. this thing is so much squishier, holy shit. it's so gummy, but not tacky. I'm not sure about in use, but in hand? this thing is addicting. i could squish and slap it around all day. i think I would have been fine with just soft as well.

it's a leaner. it leans from side to side and topples over, which... i don't mind.

Customs are something I think I won't be doing any more of. I think I am way too anal about things and it's not fair to the shop that I am over anxious about the details. hell, I may just need a little more time with it and I'll probably like it.

A family photo. Overall, I really do love OwOToyz. I think they're underrated and I'd really love to see them do some more experimental pours.

Possible next model. Not sure. I kinda would love some input if anyone out there floating in the void has any, but I'm also just thinking out loud, here...

Pip:

+Was always a love at first sight. I don't have any models with this shape.

-It might be too large in it's current smallest size. The shops that obtained the models don't really seem to do a dark color way I like.

Isonade:

+i have in a small size, medium firmness and it's one of my favorite models. Medium size, soft firmness might be what I'd consider to be *perfect*.

-medium is $120. i am not prepared to spend over $100 on a diblo.

Throgul:

+I love the shape, and the fact that it has piercings. I believe it's an Orc model, which I don't have. Could possibly have a match with my lava Zayns. They do supersoft and are pretty great at doing prompts. The size I need is only $55

-its smallest size is still on the cusp of what I'm comfortable with.

Hjalna:

+one of those 'love at first sight ' models. Only a micro or mini is needed, which is usually under $60. Would make a nice addition to my dominion theme (angels and such) if I can get a dark coloration, at least on the bottom winged half.

-hard to get a coloration I vibe with and I keep missing out on drops when they do.

...it may not be the near clear.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

I emailed the 3 shops. lucky as hell that all 3 are helping me out and gave me a lot of info and were actually really nice about my situation, which is more than I can say for my doctor.

all 3 use the same product. it could be the mold release. maybe the pigment. maybe something was mixed into the silicone (to adjust viscosity). at this point, I'm at a complete loss.

I asked my doctor if it was possible to have a silicone allergy and he's like... "no, that's super rare." I then mentioned that the silicone was used around certain areas and... ugh. "well, it's not unheard of to have a sensitivity, especially in sensitive areas, but still not common. I would just stop using it in those areas if it causes issues." 🧐

then I remembered... I've used a diva cup for years with no issue and I literally have a silicone eyelet in my septum and also have had them in my ears, no problem.

I could have said that, but dumb me for wanting to be honest in the hopes of better care and getting judged, all the same.

I sent a second message to the 2 shops that have the items I'm having issues giving them more information. I've read the PDF on the link they all provided to the near clear manufacturer, but granted... maybe I should just say fuck it. I've already decided I won't be buying anymore near clear items. I just...

I haven't seen anybody on any platform state that they have any issues with them. it can't be just me, right? I swear I should get a fucking medal for all the problems I have that "I shouldn't have" but do. makes me think it's all up in my head...

Oh hell...

it's definitely the Near Clear.

I took some time away and then slowly inserted them (hur hur hur) back into my collection and sure enough...

one seems to be ok. that one feels different than the other that's currently causing issues. the one causing issues is the one I was having weird mouth feels with that, in hand, feels more like the one that I am currently trying to get rid of.

I don't want to sell this one, though. It's too damn pretty and I won't be able to get it to look as nice without near clear. plus, if I got a replacement , it would be my THIRD same model toy and I still haven't gotten rid of the first one. I will probably just take it out of my lineup and only use it with protection (again, hur hur hur).

I finally sent a message to the 3 shops to see if I can get more info on the type of near clear they use and if they are all the same, all different, or if maybe the 2 I'm having problems with are the same, since again, only 2 of the 3 are an issue.

I'm also gonna go ahead and take NC completely out of my buy list, which... SUCKS because I love NC with colorshifts so much.

So that's just gonna make everything that much harder. I have way too many limitations now.

Not gonna lie, I sometimes get discouraged when I see a cute model I haven't seen before and go to check the measurements of what's available and they don't have my size.

As with clothes, as with shoes, now add silicone toys to the list. So is a neverending theme. Granted, this is probably the first time in my adult life where something wasn't *small* enough...
