"Have you tried...eating the mem cakes? Wait actually, maybe don't, that sounds like it wouldn't work." Octa waved her hand, as if to shoo the thought away. It was pretty cursed. "Ah....a device in her eye?! That is very scary and dangerous, I think!! How is she even...alive?! Have you tried to remove it??"

Octa tapped her feet. "If you need any tips on the chips, try to focus on certain colors. I find the purple chips especially helpful, as it will help you save your ink. Just speaking from personal experience. I know the chips will not help recover the memories, but they will aid you in your journey. This I know."

"Yes, I am afraid I have not seen Atarime, especially in a long while. I am sorry." She bowed once more. "If I do, I shall try to contact you. But it seems very unlikely that she....uh...'dimension-hopped', as Jesse would put it...so perhaps you shall have the better luck finding her in your own world."

"Octavia!! You're alright!! You...lost an arm!!" Octa gasped. "Oh gosh, what happened to you?!"

"U-um... h-hello?" Octavia got nervous "I-im... i'm sorry... but... Who is... Octavia...? And... W-who are you...?"

"Eight! What are you doing? I thought you left for a second!" Mayra returned to Octavia "Oh! You found someone! Hi! I don't think we know each other, I'm Mayra! sorry, Eight is very shy heheh... Wait, are you friends with Eight?"

"Oh, amnesia...I had amnesia a while back myself, it's not very fun...you have a harder time grasping a sense of self, yes."

"C-Castle? I see...very big place to scale. And castles hold many secrets. You are bound to find your true self in there, perhaps. I hope you do. Especially for the sadness. Even if you don't remember anything, your mind can still react to things and people subconsciously. I remember looking at a few memcakes and becoming very sad, and I did not understand why for so long...only when I remembered did I have closure. I hope you will find that same closure, Eight."

Octa knew it would be a matter of time before Octavia remembered herself, but she knew better than to try to force memories on her. It never ended well.

"Oh? Someone from the Splatoon is missing?! Another person...?" She sighed. "We have already lost Theo, and now those teenagers...very messy ordeal.

"Oh...Ata...rime? I am sad to say there is not an Atarime in our ranks. We do have a Craig Cuttlefish however...but he is a boy and very old. I do not think they are the same person." Octa tapped her chin. "Actually, I think I have heard of 'Atarime' before. The last time I met her, she wore a blue captain hat and a blue jacket, and had many accolades pinned to it. And yellow eyes that are shaped like stars." She was listing off characteristics that she remembered. "This is all I remember, I am afraid. I apologize." She bowed her head.

"What now?" Emmy tilted her head.

"Yeah, something weird's happening in the square. It seems anyone that enters the vicinity seems to...fall asleep. Sort of." Theo stated, playing with the keychain on his phone. "The color just looks drained from their faces and they don't move around at all. Kinda creepy honestly."

"Alright...be careful then, Four, if Marie finds out I let something happen to her favorite errand boy she's gonna let me have it."

"Hehehehe. You have little faith in me, Agent E." He hummed. "The country side makes you immune to weird events. My folks believe in aliens and all that."

Emmy shook her head. "I don't think aliens are involved in this mess, Theo."

"Yeah, I know- hold up." Theo's playful tone switched to a more serious one. "I think I see someone in the Square. Weird looking too."

"Eh? What do they look like?"

"Not any seafolk I've ever seen. Inkling in shape, but...Black fins. No mask. Freakishly tall. Looks to be holding a device of some kind."

The person pushed a few buttons on the device, and it began to whirr to life, before sputtering and powering down moments later.

"Ugh! It's still unstable!" They shouted. Theo snuck closer to hear them.

"Trying to get this thing to replicate the dimensional technology from TD-Wish is damn near impossible...but nothing a genius like me can't handle..." She spoke to herself, the woman typing into the device's keypad. "I'll recalibrate the coordinates and then rearrange the particle dissipator's code..."

"Seems to be a lady. Talking about dimensional devices or something?"

"Dimensional...devices? Wait. I've gotten files on her before, from Jesse." Emmy started typing on her laptop, pulling up the folder from Alterna. "...Huh. Interesting."

"What's up?" Theo whispered.

"Looks like we found our freaky chick. That's the one that almost killed Professor Greg's colleague and tried to take over Alterna as a base of operations."

"No squidding? Guess we should take her on then!"

"Theo, no, wait!"

Theo jumped down from the top of Deca Tower, doing a couple flips and landing in front of her. "Heya, pretty lady. Doing any stabbing today?"

Tara looked down at the small inkling, letting out a 'tut'. "Foolish of you to walk in here."

She took out what looked to be like a gun, except it was monochrome and had blinking blue lights. "Say hi to that other squid girl for me."

"Theo!!"

With a blast of blue light, Theo's mind seemed to cease, and he began to slowly lie down on the pavement, falling asleep.

"I...Emmy, send...help..." Theo spoke before fully losing consciousness.

"Theo?! Four?! Hey!!" She yelled. The transmission cut out and she tapped her fingers on the desk, thinking about her next actions.

"Octa."

"Y-Yeah?"

"Need you to head over to the square for me and find out what happened to Theo while I make a call to Jesse."

"O-Oh! On it!" The octoling saluted, marching off to grab her gear.

"Theo...what just happened? And...what does this all mean? Cod, I think we're about to ram head first into some squit..."

Dex stared at her. "If you tell anyone I was wearing a cat suit in Turf Wars I will end you."

"Oh, I won't...as long as you go 'nya' for me right now." She chuckled.

"Shut up shut up shut up."

BREAKING!! We have an exclusive interview from the one and only Squidbeak Girls!! You don't wanna miss it!

The once more-uniformly pop singers have now rebranded, taking on a whole new look! It shocks us how far they've come from their early starfish-dom days! Pictured above is the cover to their newest album, Currents of Love!

We asked Aqua and Emmy for their reasoning on the rebrand, and here's what they had to say:

"Well, we started out our image as prodigies of our esteemed mentors, the Squid Sisters," Aqua stated. "But over the years, our brand- our music, rather- has evolved into something more than just that. And given how Emmy and I are two different halves of a whole, we thought it was important to differentiate ourselves from each other, and those nearly identical uniforms weren't going to cut it!"

"I loved the old look, don't get me wrong. I have a lot of sentiment toward those costumes. But they're also dated; they were from a time where our names were solely associated with the Squid Sisters, and when we wanted something 'cleaner', so to speak. But it's time to move on. We want to be known as the Squidbeak Girls, not the Squid Sisters' students. So we designed a new look based on some old drawings we had lying around when we first formed." Emmy commented.

"This was the original look we wanted to go for initially. But then we wanted to play it safe, so went for the cleaner, matching look." Aqua told Inkopolis Times. "Also the fact that Emmy wanted to burn this drawing real badly because of how much she disliked her own outfit, heehee."

"I really did not like it. But Aqua told me to save it just in case, and now I'm kind of glad I did- do you mind if I put this picture away, I keep cringing at it." Emmy laughed.

They also have us some sketches that a designer helped put together- a designer by the name of Tempest, who owns the hit fashion line and stores Temptation.

We also heard from the girls themselves that they collaborated on their newest track with a talented music maker! Unfortunately, said music maker wanted to remain anonymous as they didn't want their identity to get out, saying they have some bad experiences the last time they did that.

That's all that we have to report on for now! Upcoming next is an interview with Big Man: the most lovable member of Deep Cut turned into a pulp after he was revealed to be Ian BGM and collaborated with the Squid Sisters! As always, keep your fins up high!

"H-huh? Where am I...?"

Octa spun around on her heel, looking up and down. She realized that she was wearing a plain, white strapless dress, with no other articles. She wasn't even wearing shoes, and yet when her feel shuffled across the grainy white ground, she felt nothing.

Black spikes were jutting from the ground. What were they for? Where exactly was she?"

"...Octa, can you hear me...?"

"Y...Yeah!" She shouted, not even asking who the voice belonged to. "Where are you?"

"...Octa, come find me...I'm forgetting...you're forgetting..."

"What do you mean I'm forgetting...? How can I..."

"You're the only one who can find me. Please..."

"Ah!"

Octa sat up from her bed, looking around frantically, gasping for breath. Looking to her left, she saw that it was four in the morning and she seemingly has knocked several of her stuffed animals on the floor.

"Wha...that was a really weird dream..." She mumbled, rubbing her eyes and grabbing her phone off the nightstand, opening up the messenger.

[Jesse, are you awake?] She typed quickly, sending the message. Three little dots appeared on her screen as a reply was being made.

[haha yeah. i'm on observation duty for splatsville atm. u okay?]

[Yeah I'm okay. I just had a nightmare a second ago.]

[nooo D: did you wanna talk about it?]

[Yeah, I'll tell you what happened.]
