Interesting adaptation to some globalized emojis, that we all use everyday. Egyptian memes were added to relate to the Egyptian audience.

Having different names in different languages for the same object made me wonder. Why don’t we call things the way they suppose to be! My name is “Hadeer” in all languages and no one can change that. So, why do people change countries names?  For that reason, I started this hashtag! Egypt is called Masr “Egyptian dialect”, or Misr “Classical Arabic” as part of my thesis investigation. How I could Egyptianize globalization! So, instead of using the Globalized name for Egypt, I will be using the one we use in Egypt which is “Masr”.

I based this experiment on my thesis topic. I wanted to build a better understanding of what makes the Egyptian identity unique, although it has been morphed and appropriated due to globalization. It is adapted to our daily activities, but we as Egyptians bring something different to the table. It was an actual wedding in my university, and I wanted to see human's interaction regarding to this topic but in a more organic and fun way.

"Me, The Mass" 01 Aya Tarek By: Muhammed Ibrahim This video is presenting a certain feeling, situation, time, and location, that the word “identity” is reflected based on personal experiences. The lines are blurred now, which allowed us to be whatever we want. I found this project very interesting, because it is showing the straggle the new generations are facing.

A Brief History of Creative Borrowing “Ferguson’s web series has been watched over two million times and produced a TED talk where he asks questions like, “Is remixing a form of creativity, a production of the new on the shoulders of what precedes it, or is it just copying?”
