Though true, there is little actual life there, the Nether itself breathes and aches.

Namely the soul sand. The very fuel of the Shadow Knights. The innocent lives taken at the hands of these knights of shadows, forever trapped in an endless torment, slowly being drained each time a knight needs a bit of power.

The ground shrieks with agony and clings to your feet. Whether they’re begging for your help or trying to drag you down to join them is unknown.

I have no complaints with Nicole regarding this situation. ALL of my frustrations lie with Dante and his horrific choice of words ABOUT Nicole during the episode where he, Aphmau, and Nicole discuss everything.

(I don't care about being anon)

I feel like MCD Nicole is very hated and mischaracterized for reasonable and normal actions. This is partially because I have a mother like Nicole and have seen the logic and reasoning behind the actions in real time.

1. Lying about Dimitri's Father - I am going to say this, from a logical standpoint, this was completely valid and necessary to some extent. There was no way Dante would have been willing to leave Phoenix Drop, and Nicole had to go to Scaleswind. Sure, shared custody could have worked, but it would have been when Dimitri was older, and even then, there would have been a large amount of resentment between Dimitri and Dante. Nicole had to rule a village, and Dante was just sworn to a woman believed to be gone forever. That is the perfect equation for resentment regardless of how you put it.

2. I have seen a lot of people call Nicole an abusive mom because she lays Dimitri flat, and I have to say that this can be up for interpretation, but I don't view it as abusive. It is said that Nicole and Dimitri train together and rough house, and if you have ever trained with a parent, they will lay you flat if you do something stupid. That is completely normal. Hell, one of my brothers does wrestling, and I have seen my mother get him in a hold because he kept blocking the way. It was not violent, just play between a parent and a kid who is training. Rough treatment doesn't always mean abuse.

I believe that the difference is that in comparison to Mystreet or Minecraft Diaries, the smaller series like MID, Heart Point, Void Paradox, etc. were allowed a lot more creative freedom because of the fans' expectations of the pre-existing characters. So I don't think MID season 2 would be as "bad" as a new season of Mystreet.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it was probably for the best that we never got a MID s2. Have ya'll seen what happens when aph picks up the pen to write something srs?💀 (mystreet s6)

Technically in the original he was supposed to be a bigger threat than he turned out to be. Like he was this guy everybody knew and referenced and had connections to the main characters but when it came down to it we knew nothing about Gene until like season 3.

In season 1 when Dante revealed Gene was his older brother, it didn't really leave an impact at all because it wasn't anything significant since the worst we've heard him do at the time is made Sasha forget her past or something.

mcd:r was cool and all, but personally i have to admit the gene storyline was so??? random??? like why were there a few episodes around him when he wasn't as prominent in the original series? it felt kinda forced to me.

Some writers, like Edgar Allen Poe, had been shamed/considered crazy for writing about horrific themes, so honestly if they think I'm crazy enough to support the bad things that I write about, I'll just take it as a compliment

I don't think rewriters are bad people for not writing every single character as a good person. The canon series doesn't even make them all good. Including the uncomfortable and dark content doesn't make people bad or mean they support it.

With the recent influx of cannibalism, do we seriously believe those people support eating folks? No. Why do we think or assume people are evil or bad for writing other similarly dark themes? A lot of people include themes of abuse, like making parents bad, because it's an outlet for themselves, do we just hate venting and victims? It's weird.

( not "proship". just think it's weird to shun or attack people for writing abusive garte or keeping the whole ein thing)

Mystreet got seasonal/holiday episodes and MCD got weddings and babyshowers. Not even birthday episodes.

I really want to start trying to make holidays in at least the MCD world, because the lack of them seems really bland and sad, cause out of all the Aphverse it would be that world.
