Finally had our dear friends, the Silvas, over for a proper dinner! Steaks, roasted potatoes, fresh green beans... and wine of course! :) I made some killer appetizers and a berry crisp and raspberry chocolate mousse for dessert! Big hits! :) We had a great time visiting with them!

So I got sick, and had to be in the hospital a few days.... they gave me a very sexy outfit, I was knocked out after a procedure, and doing my breathing treatments when they finally said I could go home! Whooo hoooo! Coasta (normally not allowed in this part of the house/ and definitely NOT on the furniture) got to spend some time chilling with me when I got home! She was so sweet and just laid there (very, very still) for a long time.... sweet girl!

My dear friend, Sandy Ditta, is baking (from scratch!) cookies to deliver to every single fire station in Houston! She’s so freakin awesome! Her late husband, Frank was a firefighter/ chief and she’s just showing some love to these public servants for all they do in his memory! What a tribute! (I did taste the dough... you know just to be sure they were good... LOL)

Enjoyed a night on the Island with JimRob’s friend, Todd. Ate some yummy sushi, checked out the latest golf carts and I had one of the best Bourbon Old Fashioned cocktails I’ve had in a long time! Really good!

Few new projects underway. JimRob and his dad decided the fridge was too low, so they raised it. Only they didn't measure well and now it’s too tall! I have trouble getting ice cubes without a stool now LOL! Needless to say, we are getting a new fridge and this contraption is going to the garage :)

We went to Round Top to visit Jim’s dad at his ranch. Jim went fishing and caught a fish.... Stacy caught this one on first cast! As you can see, I was pretty excited! #girlsrock
