hey y'all, with all the protests going on, here is your friendly reminder to NOT TALK TO COPS
whatever you do, do NOT talk to ANY cops. do not answer any questions. do not give them ANY information unless you are LEGALLY REQUIRED TO. if they ask you a question, ask them if you're required by LAW to reply. if they say yes, ask them WHICH LAW EXACTLY.
some cops WILL try to trick you to get information out of you. give them NOTHING unless they prove that you have to by law. if you're arrested, comply and WAIT TO TALK TO A LAWYER. do not tell them ANYTHING until you have a lawyer.
i'm so serious, don't even nod or shake your head. don't comment on any of your intentions. the smallest thing could be an admission of guilt, which just makes your lawyer's job much more difficult. as soon as you come into contact with the police, you are a STATUE. you say nothing, you do nothing, you have no opinions.
Actually one last thing before I go to bed so I can deal with the consequences of my actions later but
My biggest issue with the queer community is they need to learn how to take a win.
You heard me.
It’s like no one can celebrate anything anymore. One of us gains a few more rights in a country and others will say “it’s not enough”
We know it’s not. But let us breath for a moment. Let us cheer for a moment. Let us celebrate without guilt tripping people.
I can never see a post about “XYZ happened and it’s good!!” Without at least one fucking person being like “yeah well XYZ is happening and it’s negative.”
Don't think we haven't noticed how people slowly tapered off their support for Palestine or their action for Palestine.
Palestine is not a trend, it's not the cause of the week. Its been occupied for a century. You don't just get to dip your toe in and leave. Prove with action that you're more than just a random with a Free Palestine in your bio. Keep talking about Palestine. Keep posting about Palestine. Keep donating. Keep protesting. Keep making noise. Keep agitating.
