[9] people got a text.
Nights like these had become somewhat of a routine. There was no doubting Meiko could hold her alcohol to an extent, and it seemed her current producer wanted to get all he could out of that. She enjoyed working with him-- the songs he wrote for her were amazing --but standing outside a crowded local bar, waiting for her producer to get so drunk he would get kicked out, wasn't an ideal way to spend her nights. Tonight, she only had a few drinks before retreating to the crisp night air. It felt suffocating in that bar, and she wasn't a fan of that.
Letting out a sigh, she lets her gaze sweep across the other side of the street, watching the people walk by. She shifts, pushing off from the wall she was leaning on and joins the crowds. Meiko walks with a brisk pace, set on finding a place to bid her time before having to pick up her slurring producer.
She looks up at all the blinking signs she passes by, before locking on to one in particular that had her lips lifting into a grin. Karoke. Meiko slips into the empty-looking building, bowing a bit and murmuring a 'good evening' to the owner of the place. She takes her phone out, scrolling through her contacts list before settling on someone she figured would be fun to spend the next hour or two with.

[ A dull whirring builds up deep within her chest.
Her hands twitch as the re-awoken sensors transmit the feeling of damp wood to her processors.
Slowly, the android's eyes open. They stare blankly ahead, not registering whoever is standing in front of her. Her eyes briefly glow a pale red before it fades away, leaving dull brown eyes to refocus. ]
"Ah." [ Her voice sounds far more electronic than it usually does; if anything, it's similar to a human's groggy voice after just awakening. She tries her voice again-- ] "Ah, ah." [ -- but it doesn't seem to get any better. Her lips purse in frustration and she reaches up to ruffle her hair-- ] "Ew!" [ She gasps, quickly retracting her hand from the damp synthetic hair. ]
[ The whirring in her chest grows louder as she tries to process the situation. Wet bench, wet hair, wet everything, and a cloudy sky and an empty park, save the person standing in front of her.
--- Oh. Maybe they knew. She tries her voice again-- "Ah- Ah, ah-" --and then asks her rather important question. ]
"Has it...rained?"
