two-faced calf born on february 28th on breaux farm in louisiana: “This morning 2/28 we woke up to our normal routine of work and school. Checking on the cow that was in labor, we found that she had her calf successfully but with a 1 in 400million chance, she had a calf with two faces. We know this calf will have a short life span and will most likely only live a few days. She has beaten a lot of odds by being born alive and currently still alive at least 14hrs after birth. We have named this calf Deux Face, French for two face.”

as of today, march 1st, she is still alive and doing well.

It's still kinda wild how Phineas and Ferb managed to completely hijack an idiom. Now whenever someone hears a sentence leading with "If I had a nickel for everytime [...]", odds are their brain auto fills with "I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice," rather than "I'd be rich," or "I could [action that requires purchasing something requiring an obscene amount of money]". Y'know, what the idiom originally was

people vaguely saying 'the horrors' as shorthand for 'life problems, don't worry about it' in conversations where the problems are not going to be delved into has got to be one of my favorite new Ways Of Speaking that has emerged. like it's polite and vague and succinct enough for impersonal conversation but also extremely honest. it's very funny. The Horrors. we all know of them.
