I haven't read a Warriors book in YEARS and I don't really plan on picking it up again, so reblogging new characters that I've never seen before in my life is kinda like being a 36-year-old dad trying to be supportive about his kid's Pokemon obsession.

Like he knows every Pokemon from Gen 1-4, but after that he has no idea what's going on.

-Tawnypelt/Feathertail (its the parallel stories of feeling like they need to earn their place in their clans and outgrow their fathers legacies) (also nblw she/they tawnypelt is my bread and butter)

-Heathertail/Hollyleaf and Heathertail/Cinderheart or really all 3 of them idk mans i think they r cute

-Tawnypelt/Squirrelflight (the better tigerstar sibling 4 squilf bc theyre just a better person)

-Hollyleaf/Willowshine (not super serious but irs cute how hollyleaf basically saw a pretty lady and was like "yeha im gonna b a medicine cat like her <3 and then they stayed friends u kno)

-Daisy/Ferncloud (2 gay moms!! its the coping with a bad past and finding comfort in eachother but also just being doting mothers together in a sweet way)

-Dovewing/Briarlight (i just think the yre neat <3)

im not super caught up on the newer arcs but i hav a lot of cats from the older books that i strongly hc as wlw or lesbians or nblw n all that jazz :D

And honestly that type of sibling dynamic is my favorite, its way more accurate. My siblings and I are constantly at eachother's throats but when it comes down to it we do in fact care

Flamepaw should be mean, but Finchpaw should be mean too. Let there be mean characters that we actually care about. Let family be mean (affectionately) to each other. Have Finchpaw call Flamepaw a mouse brain and Flamepaw call her a fox heart, then a paragraph later be terrified for her wellbeing when Finchpaw is cornered by a badger.

imagine how cool post-the last hope warriors would be if the battle between starclan and the dark forest caused more destruction in the clans and drastically changed the way the lake clans were structured

I know i’m not the first to say this, but the clans need to be more distinct from one another

Like each clan should have certain rituals and phrases 

Each clan should have different celebrations from one another

Each clan should just feel unique from one another and there should be some sort of cultural divide between them, like what is considered a complement in one clan is an insult in another

I just think it would be more fun and it would deepen the world building

yea that’s kinda my issue with it tbh the age gap isnt that wild, we’ve definately had much worse, and we’ve had closer related canon couples that this isn’t the worst case of “this would be creepy if people got into relationships like this”

but the thing is... canon doesn’t ACKNOWLEDGE some of how those cats are related. Like there’s literally an entire series talking about how ivypool is related to lionblaze, who is very clearly written as Fern’s father. In canon, they know that they are related, and if they don’t that’s just... how?? does ivypool have longterm memory problems? did lionblaze just... not tell his kits abt his family at all??

like it’s def not the most problematic ship in the series by a long shot, it’s just kinda... weird and feels kinda retcon-y tbfh

have you forgotten what universe we’re in? they are cats and ivy and fern are far enough removed for it to be okay. age differences barely matter, in fact it’s been proven that ivy and fern can’t be more than a year a part in age. come on

i’ve literally been the one to point out they’re not actually that far apart in age, i don’t even dislike ivyfern, i’m just saying that as critical readers a lot of people see it as weird, yes there are worse couples when it comes to being related but it’s the fact that at that point in time

HALF THE SERIES WAS DEDICATED TO IVYPOOL AND LIONBLAZE BEING RELATED, if dovewing hadn’t been a part of the prophecy there would be absolutely no problems with ivyfern

why do people only make evil au’s of the girls and not the bland male good guys who could actually benefit from having more characterization. why not make an evil brambleclaw/crowfeather/rootspring/alderheart/whatever au

#bland cheerful caring nice #honestly thos #but its also bc so many girls in warriors get as their personalities which is BORING #and we have exactly 2 female villains which is NOT enough #there are not enough females in warriors in general tbhh #tho pls dont just do it to the girls please there are so many male characters who r basic af #basic boys that would make better villains than half the male villains we do have that boil down to the same thing
