Helldivers 2 is pretty great. I'm a really big fan of (Verhoevan) Starship Troopers, and I feel like I could write a whole essay about how "seen" I feel with this game. I do love that this game has resurrected the old discourse about the film, some things never change

So some Helldivers 2 players have the media literacy of a fetus and are begging Arrowhead "not to add politics into the game." In this case, obviously a dogwhistle for POC and Queer stuff (Ignoring that all 3 crew members of your Super Destroyer are black.)

My response? Pride Capes.

I want Arrowhead to add Pride Capes come June and I want all of the LGBTQ Pride Flags.

I wanna see Trans Capes billow beautifully in the shockwave of an ICM.

I wanna see Non-Binary Capes decorated with the blood of an Automaton Hulk.

I wanna see Gay Capes sway majestically in the Super Destroyer which has wind to blow your capes weirdly enough.

Pride Capes!!

It'll scare away the Neanderthals and we can be left to defend Democracy in peace. Plus, they'd actually look sick as fuck.

EDIT: And just like poetry, one of ya'll was in the comments (deleted now) trying to pull the "They're the same" card, saying that if we add Trans Flags then we have to add N*zi flags for equality and that I'm calling people homophobes for not wanting any Pride flags in the game. Given how successful Helldivers 2 has been, you know there's already a producer out there somewhere eager to make an adaptation of it. But here's the thing, we don't need a Helldivers movie. We've already got Starship Troopers.

What we need, is a Helldivers 2 animated comedy, with the exact tone of the early seasons of Red vs Blue.

Give me a small crew of Helldivers who are complete idiots that somehow keep surviving by sheer luck.

As the world changes, it is important to be prepared to safely and efficiently evacuate your home, potentially with little or no warning. Preparing ahead of time can help to reduce stress and anxiety, and help you evacuate safely if the time comes.

Red Level (No Warning): People | Pets | Keys. Human life matters most. If you can’t rescue your pets, let them out to give them their best chance. If evacuating by car, don’t forget your keys.

Orange Level (Less Than an Hour): Crucial Meds | Important Papers | Money | Paper Map | Pet Vaccination Records. Crucial meds and medical equipment. Papers including passports, birth certificates, medical records, etc.. Multiple forms of payment. Paper map with marked evac routes in case of signal loss. Phone. Pet supplies such as bowls, crates, toys, and litter. Pet food and treats. Clothes. If you are running out of time grab your laundry basket. Weather gear if needed.

Save yourself time and stress by preparing an evacuation bag ahead of time and keep it in an easy to access place. At the end of every season rotate out the perishable items within such as food, water, and medications. The more you can keep in the bag, the more time you’ll have to grab everything else. Remember, it is okay if you can’t do everything. Some preparation is better than no preparation.

Finally, I can share the trailer of my independent short film (離風藍蘭), which has been invited to several festivals for its premiere! Two and a half years of self-animating, painting and producing, it is to honour my sister’s passing. Ultimately, this project became my refuge from pain and an act of love
