WebDev Final Project Proposal
1. Cover page
I will add a cover page for my website. It will contain a single picture that covers the entire screen. When users click on the cover page, it slides up and shows my main site.
2. Background music
I will add a background music for my website.
3. Opening quotes
I currently have an opening quote on the top of my home page. I have been working on it to make it able to switch between different quotes.
4. Top button
I will add a button at the corner of all pages that links to the top of the page.
5. Contact
I will make an animated timeline using jQuery for each line of my contact info. (So each line will fade in.)
I will also add my resume to the contact page, according to the feedback I got from midterm.
6. Slideshow
I am not a fan of slideshows, but I will try to put one on my home page and see how it looks. If it looks good, I will keep it; other wise I won’t use it.
7. Interactive footer
I will probably make my footer interactive for fun. If a user accidentally clicks on my footer, it will move around.
8. Others
I will make some other improvements based on the feedback I got from my midterm presentation. For example, the users should be taken directly to a download page when they click on my game title, instead of being directed to a google drive page.

Intro to WebDev Midterm Proposal Concepts
Concept of my website:
My midterm project will be a personal portfolio website. It will include my work on music, photography, and games I have made so far, and I will keep updating it as I make more progress in the future. The viewers of my website will be people who want to cooperate with me to make music or games, or they can simply be people who are interested in my work. My goal is that by viewing this website, people will get a general idea of my personality, aesthetic standards and style of my work. I want more people to focus on my works when then see my website, so the outlook of the website will be clean and brief without too much dynamic effects. Meanwhile, I also want to showcase my aesthetic specialty as an IDM student, so I will spend time on image arrangement, text alignment and color coordination.

Skills I have learned:
Wireframing, HTML semantic markups, inserting images and links, CSS stylesheet, class, div, navigation, paddings and margins, font size and color, background color and image, positioning, hover, active, transition and transform.
Skills I will need to learn:
I want to make a cover page where it shows my name and a welcome sentence. Then people would click on the cover page to get into my homepage.
I also want to learn about how to insert a background music for my webpage.

Love Letter to Uber
Uber, you are my favorite.
On sunny days, when I take out my phone, I can always see you there, prepared to pick me up in a few minutes and take me to wherever I want to go. You always try your best to fulfill my requests, no matter how far my destination is.
In cold winter, when I treble in the wind on the side of the road, I take out my phone and you are there, waiting for me. A few minutes later, a car would drive to me, and as soon as I open the door I can feel the warm AC. When I sit in the car, feeling my freezing coat gradually getting warmer, I can’t help myself thinking that it’s so good to have you, Uber.
On dark nights, when I’m far away from home, I take out my phone and you are there, waiting for me. A few minutes later, the driver would call me and patiently ask about my current location. Thinking about that someone is coming to me makes me feel safe. When I see the warm smile on the driver’s face, knowing that I’ll be home soon, I can’t help myself thinking that it’s so good to have you, Uber.
I know you have some shortcomings. Sometimes you can’t take care of me perfectly in the way I wanted, or sometimes you might let me wait, but I still love you because it is you who brought more flexibility and security to my life. Thank you, Uber, for always being there for me.
