Don't yuck AGSZC's yum
Genesis: Banora White apples in everything. In his stir-fry. Slices of it in his soup. Banora White soup. Banora White with rice. Banora White juice mixed in his pasta sauce. Banora White on his pizza. And Genesis is the type to put ketchup on pizza.
Sephiroth: Maple syrup and pasta. Leave him alone.
Cloud: Pickles dipped in warm milk with honey.
Sephiroth: Milk-cooked pasta with chocolate sauce. Please leave him alone.
Zack: A peanut butter- cheese-bacon-nacho chips-ham-chicken-yogurt-beef-spam-pickle-banana-and jam sandwich. Downed with an energy drink.
Sephiroth: Macaroni and cheese with jam mixed into it. Leave him alone.
Angeal: Whatever leftovers are in his fridge thrown into a giant pot because he'd rather die than let food go to waste. His favorite combinations are those that have rice, then he can use the argument that it's "just fried rice" when he has nachos, a cut up slice of pizza, shrimp and two kinds of pasta in the pot.
Sephiroth: Lasagna but one layer is cake because he needs to feel alive. Leave him alone.

why should sephiroth be paired up with anyone
It's perfectly fine for Sephiroth to not be paired with anyone. In most of my stories, he ends up alone anyway. That said, it's also totally fine for him to be paired with people romantically as well.
Fandom is about creating whatever headcanon you feel comfortable or happy with. There's nothing wrong with whatever you personally prefer, whether it's gay Sephiroth, aroace Sephiroth, bi Sephiroth, demi Sephiroth, het Sephiroth, etc. It all comes down to personal tastes. And all tastes are completely valid and there shouldn't be any infighting about it. The other sections of the fandom do enough of that. Seph fans should be supportive with all options (and non-options) available 😊

Late night itty-bitty Pichu preview!! <3
Had a long, long day and got straight to writing when I got home xD The plot is indecipherable from this alone, but crumbs are crumbs lol! Hope y’all had a wonderful Friday!!
~
“Why couldn’t I be the donor...?"
Those were the words that finally made Zack turn around. Up until that moment, he had been listening intently to the story, both engrossed yet disheartened by the imagery of such tight friends breaking apart because of one fateful incident in a training room they weren't even supposed to be in. But it was only then that he noticed just how… how unbiased everything appeared to be. Or maybe “unbiased” wasn’t exactly the right word for it. Maybe it was more like neutrality, even numbness. Almost like detachment. Almost like the man had been nothing more than a ghost watching from the sidelines that day, rather than a structure of flesh and blood standing atop Junon Cannon.
Not those words, though. They were different; they were very attached. They were very biased. They were words that Sephiroth was there in the flesh to feel, and he still felt the phantom pains of today.

I may or may not have thought of a new AU for Lock in the sense where she's a Knight for The Holy Council, I may or may not make a few picrews for her, and she may or may not be heavily based around Octopath Traveler 2 (how many aus does this girl have? a lot. how many are pretty much duplicates? a lot.)
Oh that sounds cool!

Genesis: 🎶 You wouldn't last an hour in the asylum where they raised me.
Angeal: You mean the massive house on a private property in the richest neighborhood in Banora?
Genesis:
Angeal: The one where you have your own room with a private bathroom, a pool, a jacuzzi and a tennis court?
Genesis:
Angeal: Where the red convertible your parents got you for your 16th birthday is currently parked, you asshole?
Genesis: I—
Angeal: If it rained too hard at my house we had to put buckets out so it wouldn't flood. We didn't even have a fridge. Just an ice box.
Genesis:
Angeal: How was the asylum they raised you in, Sephiroth?
Sephiroth: My playroom was a mako tank.
Angeal: His playroom was a fucking mako tank.

Seph and Lucrecia reunion 🥹🥹
RAISED
PART 7
Vincent settles in with the group during the brief journey to the mountains. He is confused at Sephiroth's often childlike, messy mental state but Zack explains everything, right down to the entire plot of CC up until now. Vincent gradually ingratiates himself with the group, determined to help heal Sephiroth as atonement for his sins. And now that Cloud is out of commission and Genesis has been dormant for some time, the group is confident they can safely make it to the cave in one piece.
Sephiroth is nervous, naturally. Nibelheim really reopened a lot of old wounds. He's still trying to place together how much of himself is human, an alteration under Hojo, a false memory, or part of Jenova. The idea of him coming from Jenova sickens him to his core, makes him angrier than ever about all the things Shinra did to him. Rather than turning his anger towards humanity though, Aerith continues to emotionally strengthen and encourage him, telling him that regardless of whatever answer he finds, it's up to HIM to decide who he truly wants to be. She eventually reveals what she is (she finds out during one of the early Shinra encounters) and why she feels she's beginning to truly understand her place on this planet. To pave the way to a brighter future. She and Sephiroth are relics from an ancient world. They've come into existence in order to lead the way to a NEW world, a KINDER world.
Zack, meanwhile, is still trying to figure out what role he plays in all this. What happens after they heal Sephiroth? They still have no idea where to go. And that's not even telling what's going to happen with Genesis or Cloud. How do you begin again when your world is so messed up? His relationship with Aerith is getting closer. But Zack is tired. And he's been really pushed to the brink this entire journey. More than anything, he needs time to process all the trauma he's witnessed, and in even bigger need for a bit of hope.
They arrive at the cave, Vincent leading the way as they weave through walls of crystal. Sephiroth becomes increasingly more agitated and on edge, sensing something, something that tugs at his chest, something lost, brutal, shattering. His mangled mind twists for clarity, nearly falling into full insanity again before the group manages to tug him forward, dragging him step by step. They can't turn back. They're so close now. And while Aerith and Zack don't know what's going on, they can FEEL it. It's here. It's real.
And at last, through years of agony, abandonment, loss, and confusion, Sephiroth finally finds what he's looking for.
He finds HER.
After breaking through the emotional formalities of greeting the group (and Vincent) Lucrecia reaches out to her son. She apologizes for everything, for the experiment, for her foolishness, for her absence. She shows Sephiroth everything from the very beginning, unfiltered, unrecognizable from the hellish truth he'd uncovered in Nibelheim. And as she envelops her son in ways she never could have before in life, she finally lets him know what he needed to hear--that this was never his fault. And that she loves him. And that maybe, in some small way, she can finally atone, find peace at last.
With the last of her energies as well as utilizing the full power of the Jenova cells inside her, Lucrecia embraces her son, restoring his mind to full sanity before fading away to finally rejoin the Lifestream, her suffering finally at its end. Sephiroth has little time to really feel her, clarity finally snapping into place just as he feels her receding from him. He can only watch as she leaves him for the second and final time, surrounded by his allies, finally healed and fully aware of the person he truly is.
He cannot have her. And he never will. But he knows now that he is not a weapon. He is not a mindless tool. He is not an alien or a monster or a victim to be brutalized by Shinra. He is wanted, cherished. He was sheltered, raised back to completion by people who truly care about him. And he will continue to protect them, help them find a new home and regain a new sense of purpose. After all, they brought him here. They never gave up on him. They are a testament to humanity's worth, to the life Sephiroth always wanted. He loves them. Just as he would have loved her. And he will fight for them, die for them if the situation calls for it.
He is human. He survives. And he survives with his friends, his family.
And for now, that's enough.

VINCENT!!! It’s time to learn about Lucrecia 😇😇
RAISED
PART 6
Upon awakening Vincent from his long slumber, the vampiric older man is taken aback at the sudden appearance of Sephiroth, recalling years upon years of guilt festering during his time as Hojo and Lucrecia's personal Turk bodyguard. When Zack explains the situation, Vincent has no desire to be cryptic in the slightest, ready to tell them anything and everything they want to know.
Unfortunately, their little reunion is cut short--Cloud has arrived to Nibelheim. The sight of his hometown completely normal and unharmed has triggered the FUCK out of him, to the point where he doesn't know what's real and what isn't. The combined confusion, anguish, and rage overtakes him almost completely until he is a deranged wreck, ready to "fix" Nibelheim in his mind by making it how it is in his memories.
By destroying it.
Luckily, Cloud doesn't get that far when a very confused Tifa stumbles forward just in time. She remembers Cloud--that boy who left to join SOLDIER so many years ago. She's confused at why he's returned in such a state, and why he's trying to kill the place that shelters his own mother. She actually manages to subdue Cloud, who finally collapses as the weight of his mental torture finally catches up to him. She brings him home to his mother in the hopes of helping him recover. And Cloud is out of commission for a while being nursed back to health. Zack remarks that this just means that Nibelheim won't be safe either if Shinra is tracking Cloud's movements. Can they EVER catch a break?
Just then, Vincent curtly tells the group that he would personally like to join them on their journey--wherever it is they might settle. As a matter of fact, he suggests that rather than tell them the truth of Sephiroth's origins in person, perhaps they can find the answers with someone better, someone Sephiroth NEEDS to meet in order to truly heal.
Thus, with Cloud safely secured with his mother and Tifa, the group of four leave Nibelheim in peace, following Vincent's guidance in the hopes of finally getting some real answers, if not fully mending Sephiroth's mind at long last.
They can see the mountains in the far distance.
And beyond that, the cave.

Does Hojo catch wind of what happened? What’s his next step? (I am eating this up like candy 😋😋)
RAISED
PART 5
Hojo is constantly keeping tabs on Cloud and ORDERING him to keep pursuing the targets. Unfortunately, that's as far as he figures into the plot for now. He's an annoying earpiece for Cloud to listen to. But not much beyond that.
The trio reaches Nibelheim, with Sephiroth visibly distressed and disoriented. The town looks fine though--no destruction. The villagers are a little spooky and they don't seem to remember Sephiroth or Zack ever coming here, but they're completely unharmed for the most part. So not only was Cloud wrong, he really IS mentally messed up thanks to Hojo. Especially since even Cloud's mother (and Tifa!) are both alive.
Eventually, Zack debates whether or not they should make the climb up to the reactor to see Jenova for real. After a lot of coaxing and wheedling and general squabbling, they manage to talk Sephiroth into it. But Jenova isn't there when they look for her--the tank is empty. Hojo, it seems, has retrieved the alien for other purposes. Sephiroth finds his memories melting together, reliving Genesis confronting him, reliving the painful realization of who and what he is. He regresses again briefly, mostly clinging to Aerith. Aerith gives him a pep-talk and guides him through it, helping him back down the mountain and assuring him that no matter what, she and Zack are still here. Everything she's seen and experienced so far has really motivated her. And what's more, she's becoming more aware of what SHE is as well. Aerith sort of would have gone through a story arc in this nonexistent fic where she rediscovers her identity as a Cetra and shapes that identity through redeeming Sephiroth--the son of her people's killer. She starts off kind of passive and gradually comes into her own as the brains of the group, with Zack as its heart.
Anyway, Zack decides they should check out the mansion to see if they can learn anything more about Shinra that might help Sephiroth. Sephiroth seems a little more at ease now, though still VERY confused and upset and trying to keep himself together. He's been slowly mentally maturing over the course of the story, returning to his old personality as it's been gradually reconstructed. He doesn't question Aerith and Zack's encouragement and even though the mansion brings back SO MANY painful associations, he braves through it for them.
And it's here that they come across a certain someone's coffin...

Does Cloud find them???
RAISED
PART 4
The group is halfway to Gongaga! And they've certainly come a long way. Sephiroth has improved significantly. While he's still very childish and at times a bit scrambled, he's more in line with his First Soldier self now--more mature, but still in need of support. He no longer refers to Aerith as his "mother" and he's now actively helping Zack and Aerith fight against opponents. But his memories are still very messy from what Hojo did to him. Zack eventually sits him down to very gently recap him on what he learned in Nibelheim. Sephiroth is extremely upset about it, but Zack assures him that everything is going to work out. Sephiroth has THEM. And they're going to keep working on helping him through this. Plus, once they're safe in Gongaga, they never have to worry about Shinra ever again! And hey, they'll deal with Genesis once he comes back again as well.
Speaking of Genesis, he's still persistently showing up to bother the trio, now taking an active interest in making Sephiroth even MORE confused by repeating everything he said back at the reactor. Genesis is very much deteriorating, growing more and more desperate over time. Sephiroth doesn't know how to feel about him. He REMEMBERS that Genesis was once his friend. And that he'd once loved...well, Sephiroth doesn't want to think about that. He's loyal to Zack and Aerith first and foremost, driving Genesis off. Whatever challenges may come, whatever memories he regains, he's going to protect his friends. And face the answers for himself. Together, they can handle anything.
Enter Cloud Strife, who has been hunting them down for weeks now. Cloud is...well, he's not doing so good. An entire year under Hojo's care has left the teenager completely altered, his mind warped, his body enhanced. He doesn't remember much of anything--only that he needs to kill Zack and retrieve Sephiroth (and possibly Aerith as well). He's like a rabid dog on the hunt, constantly tailing them, constantly throwing himself at them with all the mindless drive to KILL. And no matter how many times Zack pleads with Cloud to remember, Cloud won't listen.
When the trio finally reaches Gongaga, Zack is horrified to find that Cloud arrived before they did, taking everyone hostage and fully intent on burning the place to the ground. Sephiroth finally confronts Cloud asking what he wants, how burning this village could possibly give Cloud what he wants.
To which Cloud coldly replies an eye for an eye. This is more about capturing Sephiroth for Hojo. This is REVENGE. Revenge for Sephiroth burning HIS home.
Revenge for Sephiroth burning NIBELHEIM.
The trio is confused--Sephiroth DIDN'T burn Nibelheim. He went catatonic from his discoveries and left the village unharmed. As it turns out, Hojo has been doing some mind-warping on Cloud as well, giving him the nudge he needed to chase Sephiroth down at all costs. Cloud is deranged, believing Sephiroth to be evil, believing Sephiroth to be the bastard who murdered his mother. This is all SEPHIROTH'S fault! Sephiroth wants to kill everyone! Sephiroth wants to destroy the WORLD!
Aerith steps forward to try to calm Cloud down, gently trying to comfort him mid-breakdown. Meanwhile, Cissnei arrives just in time to help Zack and Sephiroth escort everyone out of the village to safety, thwarting Cloud's attempts just in time. Then Sephiroth manages to fight Cloud and successfully knock him out, leaving him tied up for the villagers to deal with. Zack sighs that it means Gongaga really wasn't a safe place after all--especially if Shinra is willing to send people to attack the village directly. They need to form a new plan, find a new safe place to escape to.
Aerith, thoroughly disturbed at Cloud's breakdown, says that no place will be safe for them so long as Shinra continues to repeat this cycle of torture. And if what Cloud says is true, maybe Shinra burned down Nibelheim for real. They should head there to check it out--maybe it can even help Sephiroth confront his memories. Zack and Sephiroth reluctantly agree, turning their gazes towards the mountains in hopes of finding answers, as well as attempting to evade both Cloud AND Shinra for the time being.
Thus, with heavy hearts and building nerves, they head north towards the one place they never expected to return to at the start of this journey.
Nibelheim.
