May photo challenge, day 30: Flowers.

Peaseblossom is one of the attendants to Titania, the Fairy Queen, in Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. While on an errand for the queen, she stops to admire and smell some blooming lilacs.

I haven’t quite finished making her fairy wings or pointy ears yet, but I wanted to get a picture of her with the lilacs in the short time while they were still blooming. The severe drought here has hit my plants pretty hard! For fashion inspiration, I’ve been looking at the lovely paintings of artist Cicely Mary Barker, like this one:

I want to make some sailor guardian costumes for my Ruby Red Fashion Friends dolls too, so here's my newest doll (she came with the name Kayla, but I haven't decided on a new name for her) as Sailor Chibi Moon! My sister made her hair clips, choker, and pink moon rod, and I sewed the dress. 💖🌙
